Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has yielded to American pressure. He has agreed to let the 200 Hamas fighters still in tunnels under Rafah, on the east side of the Yellow Line that demarcates where the IDF and Hamas forces in Gaza are in control, to go free.

It’s a terrible concession on the part of the Israelis, who had earlier been determined to wipe out all the Hamas fighters who had been in tunnels to the east of the Yellow Line, terrorists who now will be allowed not just to escape being killed by the IDF, that had them trapped in those tunnels, but Israel has apparently agreed as well that it will not even hold them as prisoners.

“I think this is a matter of the past now,” Sharaa said through a translator when asked if Trump raised his al-Qaeda history. “We did not discuss this actively. We talked about the present and the future. We talked about the investment opportunities in the future, so that Syria is no longer looked at as a security threat, but it is now looked at as a geopolitical ally and a place where the United States can have great investments, especially extracting gas.”

  1. breaching a 1.5°C global ‘threshold’ leading to runaway temperatures;

  2. human-caused tipping points producing unimaginable natural disasters;

  3. and attribution of single-event bad weather to the use of natural hydrocarbons.

The 1.5°C figure is a meaningless number invented by politicians and activists to concentrate Net Zero minds; tipping points are climate model codswallop; and ditto attribution crystal ball-gazing.

None of them are backed up by credible scientific evidence and observation.

Which of course is why political elites have trashed the scientific process of inquiry, banned and cancelled any dissenting discussion and declared the matter ‘settled’.

The White House is poised to revoke the visa of the boss of a campaign group founded by Sir Keir Starmer’s chief of staff, Morgan McSweeney.

Imran Ahmed, the chief executive of the Centre for Countering Digital Hate (CCDH), is facing deportation from the United States, after his charity pushed for restrictions on what can be published online.

The CCDH has campaigned for the deplatforming of Trump administration officials and tighter policing of offensive content posted online. Mr McSweeney helped found the organisation before he quit to work for Sir Keir.

The organisation’s demands have raised alarm within Donald Trump’s administration.
