According to whistle blowers and independent security analysts, a number of high ranking Hamas affiliates have been quietly evacuated from Gaza and transported into Europe, with several reportedly making their way to the UK through protected or medical channels.
 
While humanitarian corridors are designed to safeguard civilians and provide urgent medical assistance, emerging claims suggest these routes may have been exploited by members of Hamas’s leadership.

Photos taken by Jadallah on the same day at a charity food distribution site can be found here, and provide greater context for the photograph by Jadallah that appeared on TIME’s cover.

A woman who praised Hamas’ October 7 attacks has had her visa cancelled, according to the Home Affairs office, after the Coalition called for Tony Burke’s resignation as Home Affairs Minister

Mona Zahed, who praised the October 7 attacks on Israel, has had her visa cancelled by the Home Affairs Department.  

Following the Coalition’s call for Tony Burke to step down over the visa’s approval, a Home Affairs spokesperson said on Friday afternoon “The department has advised … that the visa was cancelled today – the reasons have been communicated directly to the applicant.”

Shadow Home Affairs Minister Michaelia Cash had called for Burke’s resignation in an interview on Sky News earlier on Friday.

The Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) warned this week of a “silent genocide” in Mozambique, where Islamic State jihadis are destroying churches, burning down villages, and beheading Christians – and then posting triumphant photos and videos of their atrocities online.

MEMRI has long specialized in posting and translating videos from the Middle East that have been ignored or suppressed by local and international media outlets. The Washington, DC-based Institute’s work frequently demonstrates that what Arab leaders say to domestic audiences is very different from what they tell foreign reporters.

In this case, ISIS terrorists in Mozambique have been giddily posting evidence of their attacks on Christians, but it took MEMRI to pull the gruesome social media posts together into a narrative about ethnic and religious cleansing.

It is no secret that Mozambique has a serious problem with jihadis. The United Nations sounded alarms last August that ISIS was gaining strength in Mozambique and was close to gaining “effective control” over a large swath of territory in West Africa and the Sahel.
