Israeli military sources speaking to the press revealed the lack of progress Tel Aviv has made toward one of its core goals in Gaza: eliminating Hamas. The armed wing of the Palestinian group reportedly retains 75% of its tunnel network, 40,000 fighters and the ability to produce its own weapons.

According to Haaretz, an Israeli defense official explained that Hamas still has significant military capabilities despite 18 months of fighting in the Strip. Israeli military analysts now estimate that Hamas has 40,000 fighters.

During the height of the Cold War the United States built multiple military outposts and bases in Greenland as part of the Distance Early Warning (DEW) Line to defend against a sneak attack by Soviet forces.  The presence of these forces (including a secret underground ice base) was not only to act as early detection, but also as area denial.

For decades the US has been pouring money and resources into Greenland, even though it was officially an “autonomous” territory of Denmark.  For example, Greenland received yearly subsidies from USAID (until it was shut down) of up to $12 million.  Greenland officials talked avidly of strengthening economic ties with the US in 2021 after stopping a Chinese attempt to secure mining rights in the region (the CCP uses resource agreements in weaker countries to gain leverage over their governments).

Lawyers acting on behalf of Hamas are challenging the British government for classifying it as a terrorist organisation, insisting it is a resistance movement instead and should be de-listed.

The United Kingdom government had listed the Hamas military wing as a terrorist organisation since 2001 and, later reckoning there is no meaningful difference between it and the rest of the organisation, made Hamas in general a proscribed organisation in 2021 as well.

This is an affront to their human rights, a new legal challenge asserts, in a bid to force the government to de-list Hamas. Under British law, anyone who associates with or shows sympathy for a proscribed organisation may be breaking the law.

A police chief has said he wants to discriminate against white job applicants and hire more ethnic minority officers.

Chief Constable John Robins of West Yorkshire Police has consistently pushed to reform laws across the country in order to boost the number of ethnic minorities in his force.

Mr Robins, who has been an officer for West Yorkshire Police since 1990, was appointed as its chief in 2019 and has overseen the dramatic new changes to its recruitment policy in recent years.

The force, which is currently putting applications from white Brits on hold, said it is accepting them ‘all year round’ from ‘under-represented groups’ such as black and Asian candidates.

One whistleblower who revealed the change in the hiring process said candidates from different backgrounds were being split into tiers, according to The Telegraph.

Black and Asian candidates are alleged to have been put into the ‘gold’ tier of being significantly under-represented in the police, while south-east Asians were given the ‘silver’ tier.

Meanwhile ‘white others’, including applicants from Britain, Ireland and eastern Europe were dropped into the lowest ‘bronze’ tier.

Defending the decision, a spokesperson for Mr Robins told MailOnline the police chief stood by his push to prioritise minority hires.

It is not for any judge to babble stupidly about “foreign policy consequences”. The judge had one job: to determine the legal status of this Islamo-agitprop who violated his residence visa by leading violent protests against Israel & threatening Jewish students in institutions of higher learning.

A top US immigration judge has ruled that the Trump administration can deport Columbia University graduate student Mahmoud Khalil under a decades-old federal statute.

Assistant Chief Immigration Judge Jamee Comans, who was appointed to her position in 2023 by the Biden DOJ, found that due to Khalil’s involvement in violent pro-Palestinian protests in the waning days of the Biden administration, his continued presence in the United States raised “potentially serious foreign policy consequences.”

The decision is the latest development in Secretary of State Marco Rubio’s efforts to deport Khalil under the McCarran-Walter Act of 1952, which allows Rubio to deport noncitizens that pose a risk to the government’s foreign policy aims.

The Trump administration has canceled the visas of at least 147 foreign students due to their involvement in pro-Hamas demonstrations on American college campuses, according to the New York Times.
