To the authorities of the United Nations, to the representatives of the various countries that make up the United Nations and to all the citizens of the world who are watching us, good afternoon. For those who do not know, I am not a politician, I am an economist, a libertarian liberal economist who has never had the ambition to be a politician and who was honored with the position of President of the Argentine Republic after the resounding failure of more than a century of collectivist policies — policies that destroyed our country.

This is my first speech before the UN General Assembly and I would like to take this opportunity, with humility, to alert the various nations of the world to the path they have been treading for decades and the danger of this very organisation’s failure to fulfill its original mission.

I do not come here to tell the world what to do. I come to tell the world, on the one hand, what will happen if the United Nations continues to promote collectivist policies, which they have been doing under the mandate of the 2030 Agenda, and, on the other hand, to lay out the values the new Argentina defends.
I want to begin, however, by giving credit where credit is due.
 
The United Nations was born out of the horror of the bloodiest war in global history, with the main objective that it should never happen again. To that end, the organisation set its fundamental principles in stone in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. A basic agreement was set down there, based on a maxim that all human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights.

Under the tutelage of this organisation and the adoption of these ideas over the last 70 years, humanity experienced the longest period of global peace in history, which also coincided with the period of the greatest economic growth in history.
 
An international forum was created where nations could settle their conflicts through cooperation instead of resorting instantly to arms, and something unthinkable was achieved: the five largest powers in the world were permanently seated at the same table, each with the same veto power, despite having totally opposing interests.

Why is Ireland’s president pushing an anti-Israel conspiracy theory?

The BBC has been criticised for refusing to call Hezbollah terrorists in its coverage of conflict in the Middle East.

In BBC reports on Israeli operations against Hezbollah, the group has been described as a “militia” or an organisation “considered” to be terrorist.

The reporting has followed BBC guidelines, which stipulate that groups such as Hezbollah should be referred to as “militants” rather than terrorists.

They say journalists should “not use the term ‘terrorist’ without attribution”. The BBC will instead use terms that are less “emotive”, such as “gunmen” and “militants”. Continue reading Greta Watch

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) announced Thursday that it had killed Hezbollah’s drone commander, Muhammad Hussein Srour, in a precision airstrike in Beirut, Lebanon.

The FBI agent leading the investigation of the second attempt on President Donald Trump’s life was the subject of an internal “retaliation investigation” for anti-Trump and anti-conservative bias, a whistleblower revealed.

Jeff Veltri, the FBI Miami Field Office Special Agent in Charge (SAC), who is now leading the investigation of Trump would-be assassin Ryan Routh, was investigated by the FBI for retaliating against conservatives inside the agency by identifying them as a “security concern.”

Veltri, who previously served as a section chief in the Security Division at FBI Headquarters during the time the so-called “Trump questionnaire” was used by the FBI, had already been accused of retaliating against conservatives. Earlier reports revealing he was instructed to purge his social media of anti-conservative and anti-Trump posts before being promoted.

Labor’s ‘Misinformation Bill’ Must Be Stopped

A top Australian medical expert has hit out at the federal government’s proposed misinformation laws, arguing the measures could shut down legitimate debate about public health policy as was the case during the COVID-19 pandemic.

A leading doctor has blasted the Federal Government. Dr Nick Coatsworth is calling out Labor’s ‘Misinformation Bill’. He’s warning it could lead to “telling people what to think”.

Here’s a legal opinion I was forwarded to on the Misinformation & Disinformation Bill …..
 
In its current form (attached) the proposed legislation appears to me to have the potential to censor free speech both by candidates for political office and even by sitting members of a State or Federal Parliament, if such speech appears on a digital communications platform. Of course, the legislation cannot prevent members of a State or Federal Parliament from speaking in Parliament but, outside of Parliament, even someone such as a Senator Babet who is very active, with excellent content, on X (Twitter) and YouTube could be deprived of a voice on X (Twitter), YouTube etc.
 
The censorship would be done indirectly by attacking those platforms and threatening them with enormous fines etc. Indeed, such a result was able to be achieved previously, even without legislation. An example which comes to mind is the previous de-platforming of Craig Kelly, which included even the censorship of YouTube videos which merely broadcast speeches which had been made by him in the Parliament.
 
This was seemingly able to be achieved by “back-door” means (similar to what was done in the USA to lean on digital communications platforms to bury the Hunter Biden laptop story and influence the result of the 2020 Presidential election). By contrast, under the proposed legislation the government of the day could say whatever it likes, which could then be reported and amplified by the mainstream news media, whose activities are exempted from the legislation. The reasoning for the conclusion that the proposed legislation would not affect the activities of government, and its lap-dog mainstream media organisations, but could be used to silence the online speech of anyone the government does not like (even a sitting Senator or MP) In terms of a threat to the whole country, this must be the gravest threat to democracy in Australian history.
 
It is clear that the Labor government, with the support of the Greens, want to push it through before Christmas (and thus be able to lie with impunity, and censor free speech in opposition to its own propaganda, in the lead-up to the Federal election).
 
The ultimate aim, as with the Democrats in the USA, is permanent one-party rule. The timing of introduction of the legislation, so close to the Federal election, is obviously designed to limit the time for constitutional challenges in the High Court. The only way to counter this would be to do an analysis of the best lines of attack on the proposed legislation, so that the contents of the challenge can be mapped out and prepared in advance and launched as soon as the legislation has been enacted and applied or at least threatened to be applied (such that there would be no “hypotheticality”). Otherwise, Australia will be a very different country by next year.

Israel Warns Civilians to Evacuate as Airstrikes Pound Hezbollah in Lebanon

Israeli warplanes targeted more than 300 Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon on Monday and Israel warned civilians to evacuate the area as more intense strikes are on the way.

Lebanese officials said at least 182 people were killed and over 700 injured in the strikes, including “children, women, and paramedics.”

The IDF said Hezbollah fired at least 150 rockets, missiles, and other projectiles at Israeli territory on Saturday and Sunday. Most of the attacks were launched from inside Lebanon and some of them reached further into Israel than previous Hezbollah attacks.

“This morning, the IDF launched extensive, proactive airstrikes, based on precise intelligence, aimed at degrading the capabilities and infrastructure of the Hezbollah terrorist organization in Lebanon. This is infrastructure that Hezbollah has built over many years,” Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) spokesman Rear Adm. Daniel Hagari said in a statement on Monday.

Hagari said the campaign was focused on eliminating Hezbollah artillery hidden inside civilian structures, which Hezbollah uses to launch indiscriminate barrages against Israeli civilian targets.

“The scenes that can be seen now in southern Lebanon show Hezbollah’s weapons exploding inside homes. Every house that we strike contains weapons – rockets, missiles, UAVs that are intended to kill Israeli civilians,” he said.
