Northern Territory Police Commissioner Michael Murphy instituted a three-night curfew in Alice Springs following a violent incident early Sunday morning.

A group of 20 males, some of whom were youths, allegedly assaulted four off-duty police officers, robbing two of them before fleeing.

Sen. Hawley: Whistleblower Says Secret Service Declined Drone Technology for Trump Rally Hawley wrote in a letter sent Thursday to Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, whose agency oversees the Secret Service:
According to one whistleblower, the night before the rally, U.S. Secret Service repeatedly denied offers from a local law enforcement partner to utilize drone technology to secure the rally. This means that the technology was both available to USSS and able to be deployed to secure the site. Secret Service said no. The whistleblower further alleges that after the shooting took place, USSS changed course and asked the local partner to deploy the drone technology to surveil the site in the aftermath of the attack.
The Secret Service has not explained why there was no drone surveillance for the rally — which could have helped the agency see the sniper climbing to the rooftop of a building and positioning himself with a rifle before firing at Trump.

The irony is striking. The Islamic community in Rochdale has come out in droves to protest against the police. It is a sad reflection of the current state of affairs in the UK, where the Islamic community seems more concerned with defending their own than protecting the innocent victims of their own people.
