Only if you really understand the background of Jack’s Magic Coffee Shop, an argument can be made that the deal between Elon Musk and Tucker Carlson is trying to get the unsubsidized financial viability of Twitter under the control of an independent platform.  At least, that’s my slant on the positive perspective here.

As a free communication platform, Twitter has never been, and is not now, financially viable.  However, if Musk can continue finding ways to monetize the platform, subscriptions, exclusive content, advertising, and now broadcasting etc., he might finally be able to break free from the data processing subsidy running behind it.  We should be cautiously optimistic, yet pragmatic to the reality of the challenge.

Toward that end, Tucker Carlson announced today an intent to use the social media platform as a free speech and journalistic broadcasting system.  If Elon Musk chooses to make Carlson the anchor of this ¹Twitter enterprise it would be akin to ²Fox streaming services making Carlson the anchor of Fox News digital, via Fox Nation.  {Direct Rumble Link} WATCH:

Let that sink in: The Justice Department — as well as the media that covered it — effectively shut down a duly elected presidency, based on what turned out to be a politically engineered hoax.

The fact is, in this instance, Donald Trump was correct when he said he was the target of a political hitjob funded by the Clinton campaign and maintained by virtually every media outlet. There is a word for that: disinformation.

Democrats such as former House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff of California have pushed for censorship by claiming that disinformation is a threat to democracy.

Well, this is that threat — the real one. This actually left an administration mired in a faux scandal for years, with high-ranking officials paraded before grand juries and their guilt then proclaimed nightly on cable news shows.

Target Set to Lose $500 Million in Profits; CEO Cites Organized Retail Crime as Main Culprit

Target’s Chairman and CEO Brian Cornell announced the company will suffer an estimated $500 million in lost profits this year, citing organized retail theft as a primary factor.

Left unchecked, organized retail crime degrades the communities we call home. As we work to address this problem, the safety of our guests and our team members will always be our primary concern. Beyond safety concerns, worsening shrink rates are putting significant pressure on our financial results.

In 2022, the retail giant recorded a $700 million loss from inventory shrinkage, Yahoo Finance reported. This is calculated based on losses from organized retail crime, vendor fraud, and damaged or mismarked items. On average, retailers attribute 37% of shrinkage to external theft, including organized retail crime, the National Retail Federation (NRF) reported.

Multiple stores have closed in Democrat-controlled cities in recent months and in story after story, after story, the companies behind these stores have cited crime as a major reason for closing.

CNN has finally decided to cover this issue, but insists – contrary to the owners of these stores – that it has nothing to do with crime.

They are defying reality and the words of the businesses themselves.

Did Ex-CIA Director John Brennan doctor his notes to hide his role in Russiagate?

The only genuine piece of Russian intelligence that US spy services ever received about Donald Trump’s ties to Russia was intelligence that Russia knew Hillary Clinton backed a 2016 campaign plan to smear Trump as a Russian agent.

According to John Durham’s 300-page report, the information reached the CIA in late July 2016. Brennan told Durham that on August 3 he briefed President Barack Obama at the White House on what the special counsel refers to as the Clinton Plan intelligence. Others in attendance at the meeting were Vice President Joe Biden, Attorney General Loretta Lynch, and FBI Director James Comey.

A Victorian school has cancelled a drag storytime event after complaints from parents who said they were kept in the dark about it.

Woodleigh School had scheduled drag events for children to participate in International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia.

They had invited drag performer ‘Frock Hudson’, also known as Dean Acuri, to read stories to children.

But parents complained they only learned that a drag queen would be reading books to primary children when they heard about it in the media.

The event had been promoted in a school newsletter advising parents that “guest Frock Hudson aka Dean Acuri will spend time in the library reading stories to the children”.

“The term ‘drag queen’ was conspicuously absent from the newsletter, as if it were deliberately hidden,” one parent said.

“The announcement was so discreet that many families may not have understood its implications.”

The mother complained that parents were not given any choice about whether their children participated in the event.

“I know of at least five families, including ours, who aren’t comfortable with this event. It seems only fair that parents should be fully informed about these events and given a choice as to whether their child will attend or not,” she said.

A school spokesperson, citing “safety”, confirmed they had “disappointingly and most reluctantly decided to cancel the planned visit by the previously arranged storytellers”.

“However, Woodleigh remains steadfast in our belief to foster inclusivity and diversity within our community,” the spokesperson said.

It comes as graphic images from Acuri’s public social media was circulated by parents online with the images of the performer posing with sex toys and in various stages of undress adding to concerns.

Melbourne newspaper The Age however reported that Arcuri has a working with children check after a similar event at Eltham Library featuring the performer was cancelled and moved online.

Backlash has ensued following the renewed focus on the World Health Organisation’s “sexuality education” guidance for schools to provide to children as young as four years old.

As reported by the Daily Mail, the guidance states that children under four should be encouraged to “ask questions about sexuality” and “explore gender identities.”

The 68-page report titled Standards For Sexuality Education in Europe, also calls for supplying information to toddlers about “enjoyment and pleasure when touching one’s own body, early childhood masturbation.”

The policy paper also states that kids between four and six years should “talk about sexual matters” and “consolidate their gender identity.”

The document also asserts that sexuality is present from birth, claiming “From birth, babies learn the value and pleasure of bodily contact, warmth and intimacy. Soon after that, they learn what is ‘clean’ and what is ‘dirty’,” adding “In other words, they are engaging in sexuality education.”

The WHO told reporters that “Our guidelines reflect established psychological facts based on decades of research.”

Covering the issue, GB News reporter Mark Dolan called the development “sick” and urged that the WHO can “go to hell.”
