The three are reportedly thought to have fallen foul of a draconian law in the country that forbids statements that “affect the personal dignity or the respect owed to a public official” with the alleged gesture.

This is not the first time that authorities have targeted members of the French public for insulting Macron, with another woman falling foul of law enforcement sensibilities after comparing the President to trash on social media.

The woman is said to have been arrested by three police officers who showed up at her home over one of her online posts….

Such a claim is denied by the woman, who now faces a maximum penalty of €15,000 and a year in prison if found guilty of insulting Macron by a French court.

Meanwhile, in the UK, another man thought to have been involved in anti-Macron protests in France has also been arrested under a British anti-terrorism law, sparking outrage both domestically and internationally.

Ernest Moret, a French publisher with left-wing sympathies, was detained shortly after arriving in London by train, with police formally arresting him the following day over claims he refused to surrender his mobile phone and passwords to officers when they demanded he do so.

With this latter example sparking significant outrage internationally, the proceedings against the three Sélestat protesters are likely the last thing President Macron needs right now.

Already on the ropes as a result of ongoing protests in the country, the French leader has started touring his country in the hopes of regaining the favour of the general public, who have turned viciously against their head-of-state over the last number of weeks after he raised the country’s retirement age by two years.

Macron has now seen his popularity fall to its lowest point ever, with barely over a quarter of the country now holding a favourable view of the Jupitarian leader.

Meanwhile, officials on France’s populist right have seen their popularity jump, with polling suggesting that Marine Le Pen would win the Presidency if an election was held in the country tomorrow.

It is absurd to prattle on about “Macron’s popularity”.

Macron was installed, not elected.

Between the revelation that the ‘Hunter laptop letter hoax‘ signed by 51 current and former intelligence officials was created at the best of Antony Blinken during the 2020 US election, the obvious implications of CCP leverage over the Biden family, and information presented by an IRS whistleblower regarding the Hunter Biden probe, things may get interesting according to Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN).

When asked about China’s influence over the Biden family, Burchett told Fox News‘ Maria Bartiromo on Friday: “We know of at least eight Biden family members who have profited from dealings overseas,” adding “I think if you delve into it deep enough, there’s prostitution rings involved in this, human trafficking has been rumored to be part of some of this. These so-called companies that have allowed the Biden family to profit. It is gross, and it is disgusting.”

“If I was those 51 people, I’d be lawyering up right now because they’re going to be asked in public at some point what they knew and if they knew that all this other stuff was going on, because it is very damning Maria. This is just the very tip of the iceberg,” he continued.

“This very brave IRS agent coming forward, I think, will just start it,” Burchett said, referring to the senior agent in charge of the Hunter Biden investigation who came forward earlier this week in a letter to lawmakers, accusing the DOJ of ‘mishandling’ the Hunter Biden case, and that his client had information that would contradict sworn testimony from a senior political appointee.

Prime Minister Trudeau has left his mark on Canada for a few notable reasons:

1. He notably stated his admiration for “China’s basic dictatorship” in 2013, and followed updirectly on this. Now he’s embroiled in a Chinese election interference scandal, in which Chinese consulate officials in Toronto reportedly covertly funded a network of at least eleven political candidates in federal elections in 2019. His own specially selected rapporteur for investigations into this election interference (of 2019 and 2021) is his buddy David Johnston.
2. The Freedom Convoy was so outrageously handled by Trudeau that an anti-Trudeau kids book topped Amazon’s bestseller list last year: How the Prime Minister Stole Freedom. He even froze bank accounts and issued a threat about “crushing the Freedom Convoy with tanks.”
3. Trudeau imposed a gun ban on Canadians.
4. Trudeau passed a sweeping censorship bill, C-11, which his own appointed Senator David Richards referenced as “Stalinesque.”
5. He appointed an “Islamophobia” czar.
6. Trudeau even managed to find a loophole in Canada’s parliamentary system by signing a pact with the New Democratic Party (which has socialist roots and ideology) to prop him up until 2025.

Now, out of the same Heritage Department from which anti-Islamophobia M-103 emerged, which set the groundwork for Bill C-11, Trudeau intends to go further. He called  uncensored speech “destabilizing,” and wants to create a Digital Safety Commission. “Internet censors” will be assigned.

Under section 2 of Canada’s Charter, Canadians are guaranteed the fundamental freedoms of conscience, thought, religion, belief, opinion, expression, the press, communication, and peaceful assembly. Florida gay pride parade canceled after anti-drag show law passes

PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. (AP) — Officials in a southeast Florida city have canceled a gay pride parade and restricted other pride events to people 21 years and older in anticipation of Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis signing a bill meant to keep children out of drag shows.

The Pride Alliance of the Treasure Coast posted Wednesday on Facebook that the decision to change this Saturday’s Pridefest events was made after multiple conversations with Port St. Lucie officials. The city is located about 50 miles (80 kilometers) north of West Palm Beach.

“We hope that everyone understands that this is definitely not what we wanted at all and are working with the city to assure our safety as well as produce a positive event,” the post said.
