Sky News host Andrew Bolt says unbelievable scenes were seen today when ABC Managing Director David Anderson fronted politicians to defend the national broadcaster’s “stunning bias”.
“What a farce. Including an amazing admission about that ABC report that claimed a meeting of Alice Springs residents was full of white supremacists – turned out the reporter wasn’t even there,” he said.
Mr Bolt focused on three examples from Mr Anderson’s appearance at Senate Estimates on Tuesday that should make every Liberal and Nationals MPs realise the ABC is “out of control”.

AP News reports that tech giant Google has announced plans to release a collection of “prebunking” videos to teach Germans how to recognize false information before they come across it. The videos will be promoted on websites like Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok. A similar campaign is also in the works in India.

The European Parliament is a corrupt organization lacking in credibility following its recent corruption scandals, Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó has claimed.
In an interview with the Kossuth radio station on Sunday, the Hungarian government minister said, “Very few of the decisions, statements, and resolutions of the European Parliament have in fact helped Europe.
“The credibility of the European Parliament is practically zero, the latest corruption issues have clearly shown that we are speaking about one of the world’s most corrupt organizations.”

UK journalists seem hell bent on rehabilitating former ISIS bride Shamima Begum. The BBC has recently produced both a prime-time documentary and a major podcast series on Begum’s story. Last weekend, to promote these two programmes, she also featured as a baseball-capped poster girl on The Times’ Saturday magazine.
Anyone following the past week’s coverage could be forgiven for thinking that Shamima is the victim, rather than the villain of her story. The fact that Begum was a footsoldier of a movement responsible for unspeakable carnage and suffering is treated almost as a footnote. No space, it seems, could be found to give voice to the families whose lives have been destroyed by ISIS killers.
In this round of interviews, Begum’s answers are noticeably more practised than they were in 2019, when she was first discovered by journalists in a Syrian refugee camp. Back then, Begum showed no remorse for joining ISIS. Speaking to The Times, she even declared her support for Islamic State’s 2017 bombing of the Manchester Arena, arguing that it was a retaliatory attack against the enemies of Islam.
