How are NATO allies pushing back against Trump’s Iran war demands?

Trump says he is considering a NATO exit as allies resist cooperation in US-Israel war on Iran. Here are the fractures emerging within the alliance.

“I always knew they were a paper tiger,” Trump lashed out in an interview published on Wednesday in The Telegraph newspaper, saying he was strongly considering pulling out of NATO.

The same sense of disdain towards the allies was echoed a day earlier by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, who told Al Jazeera that if the transatlantic alliance was “just about defending Europe” but not the other way around, that’s “not a very good arrangement”. That, Rubio said, is going “to have to be re-examined”.

Not Just ‘Damaged’ but Obliterated: Images of US AWACS Jet At Saudi Airbase

Images have emerged revealing that the Wall Street Journal’s initial report that the half-billion-dollar aircraft was merely “damaged” was an enormous understatement. Rather, a large portion of the fuselage has been obliterated, along with the distinctive 30-foot-diameter, 6-foot-thick rotating radar dome that’s mounted atop AWACS aircraft. We took a closer look at the photo set here.

“The loss of this E-3 is incredibly problematic, given how crucial these battle managers are to everything from airspace deconfliction, aircraft deconfliction, targeting, and providing other lethal effects that the entire force needs for the battle space,” Heather Penney, a former F-16 pilot and director of studies and research at AFA’s Mitchell Institute for Aerospace Studies, told Air & Space Forces Magazine. If this has been carefully kept under wraps until now, what else is the White House and Pentagon not telling the public?

Europe’s Slow Right Turn: Backlash Against Open Borders, Migrant Crime, and Welfare

American mainstream media and Europe’s left manipulate statistics to support claims that illegal aliens and migrants do not increase crime and that they benefit the economy. The data tell a different story. Immigrants are disproportionately represented in arrests, convictions, prison populations, and on welfare rolls across EU countries.

In Germany, foreigners represent roughly 17% of the population but accounted for 41.8% of all criminal suspects in 2024 and approximately 39% of all convictions in 2023, a new high. In France, foreigners make up about 7.8% of the population by citizenship, yet account for 17% of all criminal suspects, more than twice their population share, rising to 40% of suspects for vehicle theft, 38% for burglary, and 31% for unarmed robbery.

In Italy, foreigners are approximately 8.9% of the population but are implicated in 28% of murders and attempted murders, 33% of assaults, and 41% of rapes, and make up 31% of the prison population as of mid-2022. In Spain, foreigners represent 13% to 14% of the population, account for 28% of criminal convictions, and make up 31% of the national prison population, rising to 49% in Catalonia. Belgium presents the most extreme disparity: foreigners are 13% of the population but constitute 43% of the prison population, with roughly 30% of those foreign inmates holding no valid residence permit.

The rhetorical escalation between Budapest and Brussels continues to grow. Now, the EU accuses Hungary of actively sabotaging Europe by passing strategic information about the bloc to the Russian side. This type of serious accusation could never be made without proof, yet it has become common practice for the Western liberal regimes to accuse its rival countries of “collaborating with Russia” even without any evidence.

In a recent statement, the Hungarian Foreign Minister responded to recent European accusations of pro-Russian “espionage” by Hungarian authorities. According to the Hungarian minister, the EU is spreading lies and fake news about Hungary to try to influence the anti-Orban opposition, hoping to obtain a pro-EU result in the upcoming Hungarian elections.
