Australian Defence League cyber-bullying has young women terrified

Young Muslim women have been targeted in a cyber-bullying campaign by members of anti-Islamic group Australian Defence League that has left them traumatised and fearful of going out in public.

The online vilification was exposed last week, just days before the Greystanes home of senior ADL group member Nathan Abela was the target of a drive-by shooting.

Muslims have expressed their outrage about what has been happening to the women, but denied the shooting on Thursday night had anything to do with them.

A man identifying himself only as Omar said Muslims were very angry but they were not violent. They believed the ADL was trying to ”start things between us and them”. But he said they would fight back using words and the media. ”No one is talking about taking the law into their own hands,” he said.

Of course they do. They always do.

Tensions have been rising for weeks as the women and children’s schools have been photographed, filmed and posted on the internet accompanied by derogatory and inflammatory comments.

Any criticism of Islam is “inflammatory”.

Photos have been taken of the women without their knowledge while they were travelling on trains to work and going about their business. Complaints have also been made in the past few weeks about ADL members spruiking anti-Islamic messages and handing out pamphlets at suburban shopping centres.

Play the victim so you can take over.

The Imam Suhaib Webb of the Islamic Society of Boston is a renowned “moderate” and — of course — a darling of the mainstream media. The hopelessly clueless and compromised Boston Globe reporter Lisa Wangsness wrote an egregious puff piece on him in May 2013, right after the Boston Marathon jihad murders perpetrated by two members of the Islamic Society of Boston.

But in this video from Americans for Peace and Tolerance shows him openly calling for an Islamic state, dismissing secularism as a “radical lunatic ideology,” which means the dismissal of the idea that the government derives its just powers from the consent of the governed, and the embracing of the idea that the law of Allah constitutes the only legitimate constitution and government. He also calls Ayaan Hirsi Ali an “idiot,” and so in light of the looming anniversary of the Boston Marathon jihad bombing, the media’s fulsome praise for this Islamic supremacist, and the recent news about Ayaan Hirsi Ali being victimized by Hamas-linked CAIR, which Webb lauds here and for which he is speaking, that it would be a good time to post this video, which is from last October.

The real question is this:

Why has the ABC broken its promise under the ABC Act to be impartial? Why has it broken its promise under its Editorial Policy to be balanced?

But for the left, promises need only be kept by the “mad monk:”

A Ukip MEP believes that British Muslims should sign a special code of conduct and warns that it was a big mistake for Europe to allow “an explosion of mosques across their land”.

Gerard Batten, who represents London and is member of the party’s executive, told the Guardian on Tuesdaythat he stood by a “charter of Muslim understanding”, which he commissioned in 2006.

The document asks Muslims to sign a declaration rejecting violence and says parts of the Qur’an that promote “violent physical Jihad” should be regarded as “inapplicable, invalid and non-Islamic”.

“Turkey’s EU Minister and Chief Negotiator Mevlüt ÇavuÅŸoÄŸlu has called for a halt to racist, xenophobic and Islamophobic political discourse ahead of the European Parliament elections in May.” This is akin to the ongoing attempt by the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to intimidate the West into criminalizing criticism of Islam. For by “Islamophobic political discourse,” ÇavuÅŸoÄŸlu — if he is using the term the way the OIC and other purveyors of the “Islamophobia” myth use it, and he almost certainly is — means any honest discussion of how Islamic jihadists use the texts and teachings of Islam to justify jihad terror and Islamic supremacism. The effect of “halting” that, as ÇavuÅŸoÄŸlu demands, would be a definitive end (after a long period on life support) of the freedom of speech in Europe, and then the Islamic jihadists would be able to advance unhindered and unopposed.

The full truth is a bit more chilling, Sharif and his wife are supporters of ISIS, the leading Al-Qaeda-aligned group in Syria. Al Jazeera reports that in areas under ISIS control, “men [have]… been beheaded, their heads mounted on spikes. Children…slaughtered.” Other posts found on the couple’s Facebook pages include videos glorifying jihadi fighters; praise for late Al Qaeda leaders such as Abdullah Azzam and Anwar Al-Awlaki; and calls for an Islamic state.

The British media continues to label British Islamist volunteers who support jihadist movements in Syria as “charity workers.”

In December, the BBC aired a documentary about aid convoys to Syria, but – as reported by Gatestone Institute – neglected to inform viewers of the convoy volunteers’ support for jihadi “martyrs,” Al Qaeda operatives and extremist preachers.

The good prof seems to have his heart in the right place, but there are fundamental misunderstandings. Herf believes Islam can be separated from ‘Islamism’: ‘ Islamist interpretation of the Koran’ (the Koran cannot be interpreted, it is the word of allah for all time and any place;it has to be taken straight up, undiluted) and finally, that “the Nazi interpretation of Christianity as well as the core texts of the Christian tradition itself, were used by the Nazis to justify their mass murders” is patently absurd. Anyhow, he stands up to Islamic bullying and blackmail, and that is quite something in these quarters:

The historian Jeffrey Herf has written a trenchant letter to the president of Brandeis University over its capitulation to Hamas-linked CAIR over the honorary degree to Ayaan Hirsi Ali. What Herf describes as his experience here in being accused of “Islamophobia” is exactly the same experience that everyone has if he or she speaks honestly about how Islamic jihadists and supremacists explain and justify their actions by reference to the Qur’an and Sunnah. What happened to Ayaan Hirsi Ali and what Jeffrey Herf describes here as having happened to him is not singular. It is the universal experience of everyone who has ever stood against Islamic supremacist groups and their “scholars” in a thoroughly corrupt academia.

…Ms. Hirsi has had the courage to say unpopular things about the religion of Islam and the ideology of Islamism. In two of my prize-winning books, Nazi Propaganda for the Arab World (Yale University Press, 2009) and The Jewish Enemy: Nazi Propaganda during World War II and the Holocaust (Harvard University Press, 2006), I have had occasion to address the role of Islam and Islamism in fanning the flames of Jew-hatred. In publishing work that documents the role of the Islamist interpretation of the Koran in promulgating the most absurd and idiotic ideas about the Jews, I have faced intolerance from scholars working on the Middle East. They have denounced well-founded scholarship as “Islamophobia” or “Zionist propaganda” and denied that the Koran or Islamism could possibly have anything to do with anti-Semitism. Like Tony Kushner and Desmond Tutu, to whom Brandeis has given honorary degrees, they have erroneously argued that Arab and Islamist antagonism to Israel is exclusively the result of the alleged sins of Israel. As far as I know, neither has had anything of substance to say about the role of Islam and Islamism in fanning the flames of hatred of the Jews and of Israel. These critics have said that those of us who point to the anti-Jewish elements of the Koran and the Jew-hatred of modern Islamists are guilty of intolerance towards Muslims. I have seen this up close for years now. The last place I expected to find groveling, embarrassing appeasement of this rubbish was from the president of Brandeis University….
