CAR Christian militia blocks Muslims’ escape route

Christian militia forces are blocking the main roads used by Muslim civilians trying to flee Central African Republic to Cameroon and attacking the refugees, the United Nations said on Friday, citing accounts from “traumatised” victims.

When Brandeis University withdrew an honorary degree for Ayaan Hirsi Ali after a student-professor firestorm branded her an “Islamophobe,” the campus in effect declared itself an outpost of Islamic law, American-style. Officially, Brandeis is now a place where critics of Islam – “blasphemers” and “apostates,” according to Islamic law – are scorned and rejected.

Not that Brandeis put it that way in its unsigned announcement about Hirsi Ali’s dis-invitation, which notes: “She is a compelling public figure and advocate for women’s rights, and we respect and appreciate her work to protect and defend the rights of women and girls throughout the world. That said, we cannot overlook … her past statements that are inconsistent with Brandeis University’s core values.”

Translation: Hirsi Ali’s advocacy on behalf of brutalized women is Good, but Hirsi Ali’s “past statements” – advocacy that connects such violence to Islamic teachings – are Bad, or, in faddish twaddle, “Islamophobia.” As a dhimmi (non-Muslims under Islamic law) institution, Brandeis cannot possibly honor the infidel.

UK fails to convince Muslim health workers to participate in counter-terror plan

Muslims in the UK say they are unfairly targeted by programme asking medical workers to identify potential ‘terrorists’.

One nurse said trainers were careful to avoid mentioning Muslims. However, medical staff were told that the main terrorist threat to the UK comes from Islamist groups, and the violent acts mentioned were mostly incidents perpetrated by Muslims.

She added that identifying potential terrorists was not part of her job as a health worker. “It’s actually something that the police should be doing,” she said. “Offering this training, it’s almost as if we’re becoming government informants.”

Jahan Mahmood, a historian and former adviser to the government’s counter-terrorism unit, said that while Prevent mentions possible extremism from a range of groups, “there is a disproportionate focus on Muslims, there is no doubt about that. And that’s also one of the reasons it’s failed to gain traction with the Muslim population”.

Questions raised as Myanmar wraps up census

Buddhists (rightly) regard minority Muslim Rohingyas as undocumented migrants from Bangladesh, and do not want them counted.

“Rohingya” is an invented term for illegal Bengali Muslims who demand citizenship in order to replace the Buddhist nation of Burma with islam. The Buddhists know very well what the Muselmaniacs have in store for them should they succeed in their insidious endeavours.

Myanmar’s first census in thirty years is almost complete, and the data will be used as a guide for national planning.

But in the province of Sittwe, it is causing tension for not recognising some ethnic groups, including the Muslim Rohingyas.

Many Buddhists regard the minority Muslim Rohingya as undocumented migrants from Bangladesh, and do not want them to be counted.

The protesters accused Ms. Hirsi Ali, an advocate for the rights of women and girls, of being “Islamophobic.” Here is an abridged version of the remarks she planned to deliver. She gave this interview to Reason Magazine in 2010. It does not date. The miscomprehension and pusillanimity she worried about then was on display just  the other day in Waltham, Massachusett, at a university that, having bent over backwards for Muslims (its most famous Musliim graduate is Aafia Siddiqui) suddenly finds them — faculty and student –  attempting to prevent the appearance at a commencement of one of the most piercing and articulate critics of Islam.  (Hugh Fitzgerald)

This includes even ex-Muslims such as Ayaan Hirsi Ali, the latest head they’ve added to their collection, and this professor, Samir Amin Abdellatif, who is the publisher of a book by another ex-Muslim, Sami Benjamin. The statements listed as egregious by Hamas-liked CAIR and repeated uncritically by this credulous reporter are all readily demonstrable from Islamic doctrine and history. As Pamela Geller says, Truth is the new hate speech. Indeed so.
