The tiny minority of extremists is so great that law enforcement officials are having trouble finding names in the tiny 875,000 names on the list. The number of names on a highly classified U.S. central database used to track suspected terrorists has jumped to 875,000 from 540,000 only five years ago, a U.S. official familiar with the matter said. And worse still, this isn’t anything like a comprehensive list. These are just the names that came up and were entered into it. The actual list would be vastly larger than a mere 875,000 names. But even 875,000 names is the equivalent of an army. The United States Army only has 561,437 active duty personnel.

The chief torturer of Sudan’s Islamist regime is soon to visit the U.S., igniting not a peep of concern from left-leaning church officials ostensibly very concerned about “torture.”  Instead, a long list of prominent church honchos is instead demanding President Obama close Guantanamo Bay detention center because of its reputed history of “torture.”  Their letter was organized by the National Religious Campaign Against Torture, which has received over $1 million from George Soros.

For the Religious Left, Guantanamo is important as an unwanted symbol of the War on Terror, which for them does not or should not exist.  For them, the U.S. largely has no enemies who were not provoked or cannot be ameliorated through good will and reparations.  For them, detainees are more victims than dangerous terrorists or terror sympathizers.

A couple of days ago, I wrote about Pamela Geller’s getting bounced from a Toronto-area synagogue after Inspector Ricky Veerappan of the York Regional Police “Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Bureau” went and leaned on the rabbi.

It seems Rabbi Kaplan and Speech Commissar Veerappan have tangled before. The rabbi was previously investigated by the Diversity Enforcers for a “very homophobic” sermon. When a Muslim diversity cop investigates you for “Islamophobia,” it’s unlikely to end well. But, when a Muslim diversity cop investigates you for “homophobia”, your odds are somewhat improved:

The police conclusion suggests that homophobia is okay so long as it’s framed within the context of religious scripture.

So all you imams calling for the execution of all homosexuals, have at it.

On the other hand, it took Rabbi Kaplan some time to be “cleared” by the York Regional Police Diversity Bureau:

YRP started looking into the matter in August. Over five months, police interviewed about 25 people, including religious leaders, gay and lesbian community members, the provincial Crown’s office, theologians and other “subject-matter experts,” Apple says.

Twenty-first century Canada — a land where cops take five months and interview 25 people over something a rabbi says in a synagogue.

BONUS: The York Regional Police Diversity Bureau has no problem with its in-house imam, Abdul Hai Patel, attending conferences of the terror-linked World Muslim League, which among other things provided a handy chatroom for Tamerlan Tsarnaev to meet like-minded types.
