“York Regional Police supports Ms Geller’s right to free speech, but…”
Police have no business trying to abrogate free speech with veiled threats. Free speech does not contravene the values of a public organization.
There is Blowback
The day the story broke of Pamela Geller’s cancellation, Inspector Ricky Veerappan admitted to having strongarmed and threatened the Chabad Rabbi. Now the goosestepping Nazi-wannabe Veerappan is lying and changing his story. He said he did a “hate crime investigation” of Geller and it seems she was found guilty. Of what? We don’t know, he never says.
I will pursue the release of the findings of this “hate crime investigation.” In the meantime, there has been serious blowback to this pogrom-style thuggery. Canadians are angry and well they should be. Any free man subjected to the punitive and oppressive blasphemy laws under the sharia should fight tooth and nail for the freedom to speak.
