Police and prosecutors in Munich carried out searches on Friday morning at the private residence and Bavarian State Parliament office of AfD lawmaker René Dierkes, reportedly in connection with alleged insults and social media posts dating back several years

Dierkes, 34, who represents the Munich-East constituency in the Bavarian State Parliament, said the investigation concerns satirical posts and memes published roughly two years ago on his X account by a staff member who has since left his employment. He said authorities are also examining an alleged insult attributed to him by a former party member, which reportedly dates back five years.

In a statement released after the search, Dierkes described the investigation as politically motivated and accused rivals of attempting to discredit him.

“The background is posts on my X account that are about two years old and were written by an employee who no longer works for me,” he said, adding that an internal party rival who previously sought public office had launched “a defamation campaign against my person.”

“I will take action against this political witch hunt,” he said.

Merkel Blasted for Calling on Migrants to Vote Against Populist AfD Party

Former German Chancellor Angela Merkel has drawn criticism for calling on migrants in Germany to vote against the populist Alternative for Germany (AfD) party.

Merkel, who served as the architect of the European Migrant Crisis in 2015, when she unilaterally decided to open the EU’s borders to unprecedented waves of foreigners from the Middle East and Africa, resulting in dramatic demographic transformations in her country and across the continent, appears to have let the cat out of the bag as to her motivation for doing so.

In an interview with establishment journalist Jagoda Marinić for Hesse Broadcasting earlier this month, Merkel openly called on the migrant population of Germany — many of whom she personally allowed into the country — to vote against the political right and vote against the AfD.

European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen declared that Europe’s retreat from nuclear power had been “a strategic mistake.”

Also this week, Germany’s current Chancellor (Friedrich Merz) weighed in on this nuclear blunder when he called the reactor phase-out “a mistake” and said, “I regret this.”

Great. Then fix it!

But they’re not going to do that. Unfortunately for Germany, said the Chancellor, “it is the way it is, and we are now concentrating on the energy policy we have.”

Unbelievable.

On March 11, 2011, a magnitude 9.0 earthquake struck off the coast of Japan and triggered a massive tsunami that slammed into the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant. Three of the plant’s six reactors melted down, and it became the worst nuclear disaster since Chernobyl.

On the other side of the world, German Chancellor Angela Merkel panicked.

Her government had extended the operating lives of Germany’s 17 nuclear reactors just five months earlier. But, because of the earthquake in Japan, Merkel reversed course overnight and mothballed eight German reactors.

But Merkel’s decision wasn’t really about natural disasters. It was political.

Merkel was terrified of Germany’s Green Party— which was literally founded on anti-nuclear activism in 1980 and had been gaining ground. A critical regional election was just two weeks away, and Merkel was hoping that she might pull out a victory if she killed the reactors.

Her gambit didn’t work, and the Greens won anyway.

But at that point the fate of nuclear had already been set in motion. Within three months, the German government decided to phase out EVERY nuclear reactor in the country.

Germany: Stasi Merkel is Still Meddling

Berlin court dismisses lawsuit seeking Merkel Stasi files

The Berlin administrative court has dismissed a lawsuit seeking the disclosure of possible Stasi files on former German Chancellor Angela Merkel. The case was brought by former FDP politician Marcel Luthe, but according to the court there is no general legal claim for such a move, Welt reports.

The Stasi Archives Act allows documents to be released only under specific circumstances. For example, the law permits disclosure if the person concerned benefited from the former secret service, the MfS, or was already a public figure at the time.

However, the court said that neither of these conditions is met in Merkel’s case. According to the available information, there is no concrete evidence that she was connected to the MfS, and before 1990 she cannot be considered a public figure within the meaning of the law.

Marcel Luthe’s lawsuit was therefore unsuccessful.

Europe’s mad dash to decommission its nuclear power plants was a “strategic mistake” which now has to be rectified, European Commission boss Ursula von der Leyen has admitted.

Energy prices are too high in Europe, which harms both consumers and industrial competitiveness, and this is partly because several European nations destroyed their own nuclear energy industries, leaving the continent dependent on imported gas and oil, a nuclear energy conference in Paris heard on Tuesday.

EU chief Ursula von der Leyen, who was a member of the Angela Merkel-led government that decided to destroy Germany’s nuclear energy, and who personally voted in the German parliament to end the nuclear programme, appears to have now seen the error of her ways.

They never had any “capacity to predict climate change” to begin with. Good riddance to bad rubbish!

Acknowledging absolutely none of her own culpability in the decision-making process, or that Germany led the charge against nuclear, Von der Leyen said at the Paris conference: “This reduction in the share of nuclear ​was a choice. I believe that it was a strategic mistake for Europe to turn its back ⁠on a reliable, affordable source of low-emissions power. This should change”. The news is reported by the German weekly ”Der Spiegel”, underlining that the bomb would have killed many people, if it had been detonated even at some distance from where it exploded. The arrested couple – a Turkish-German man, 35 yo, and his Turkish wife, 34 yo, parents of two children aged 2 and 4 – allegedly planned to explode the bomb along the bike route of a cycling race for professionals and amateurs scheduled for May 1. For security reasons, despite the arrests, the local authorities had imposed the cancellation of the race: it was still unclear whether some accomplices would be ready to strike again. In the flat seized by police, in addition to the bomb, parts of an assault rifle, ammunition, chemical agents and 24,000 euro were found. The arrested man’s father, interviewed by Der Spiegel, has reacted with ‘incredulity’: according to him, his son had urged him to go more often to the mosque, but he did not have any warning sign. ”He has a happy family, happy children, he used to attend the mosque. A German court ruled that a Muslim man who admitted stabbing a rabbi did not intend to kill him.

* How so? He attacked him and called him a ‘Jewish Pig’- didn’t he?

Rabbi Zalman Gurevitch, who was stabbed by an Afghanistan-born man on a street in Frankfurt last September, during the trial.
The man identified as Sajed A., a German of Afghan ancestry, was sentenced to 3 1/2 years in jail by the Frankfurt District Court for the September stabbing of Rabbi Zalman Gurevitch.

Sajed, who said he was acting in self-defense, was convicted of causing grievous bodily harm. Had he been convicted of attempted murder in a bias case — as the rabbi’s attorney, Rolf Doering, had argued — Sajed could have been jailed for 15 years.

The state prosecutor had asked for a minimum of four years, while Doering had asked for five years, eight months. 

Gurevitch, who required an emergency surgery after the stabbing, is planning to appeal the sentence based on the grievous bodily harm conviction, according to reports on the Spiegel Online magazine.

The rabbi testified that he had been on his way home from Sabbath services on Sept. 7 when Sajed shouted at him, “S— Jew, I will kill you,” and stabbed him in the stomach. Sajed later said he had been driven by fear of the rabbi, who was the larger of the two men.

 

Some witnesses said the two men had argued before the stabbing. Der Spiegel said this could not be verified because two Jewish witnesses who live abroad said they were afraid for their safety and would not testify.

The Frankfurt Regional Court on Tuesday morning convicted a 23-year-old German-Afghans to three years imprisonment for serious bodily injury. The accused stabbed the rabbi in September 2007 in Frankfurt.

After yelling insults at the Rabbi who was on the way to the synagogue the Afghan rammed a knife in his belly.

In an interview with the Berliner Tagespiegel newspaper Wolfgang Schaeubler  said, “That women have the same rights is one of the things which Muslims must accept.”

Islam is Germany’s largest minority religion. Since the 1960s the country has experienced large scale immigration from predominantly Islamic Turkey and the avoidance of segregation is a key aim for both sides of Germany’s ruling grand coalition.

In the same interview Schaeubler said that German children should be speaking German at home. At present many children from immigrant backgrounds do not encounter the national language until they start to attend kindergarten.

His comments are fuel for the ongoing debate about the status of Islam in the country. The German government is a supporter of Turkish entry to the European Union but many hardliners argue that an Islamic country has no place in Europe.

I finally managed to put it up! Bear with me while I’m learning this program, but I’ve been watching this story unfold for a while now: The former East Germans are par tout against this Ahmadiyah mosque, 90% of them are against having to hear the call to prayer over their rooftops 5 times a day and won’t have the government impose it on them.

Joachim Swietlik leads a citizen-rights group and made himself pretty knowledgeable about the cult(-ure) of the  invading usurpers, he sez ‘ they believe the Muslim Jesus will come on judgment day and break the cross and kill all the unbelievers and swine, and guess who the swine are? That’s US!’

A citizens’ group in Berlin turned out this week for a candlelight vigil to protest plans for a new mosque in their neighborhood. It will be the first to be built in the former East Berlin, where almost no Muslims live — but no one can quite explain why it shouldn’t be there.

At the end of a rundown suburban street lined with bare trees and flaking apartment facades, a small group of people hold candles or colored Glo-sticks. A few hold signs — “Democracy yes! Caliphate no!” — and some carry German flags.
“The mosque is supposed to go up right here,” says Günter Bronner, a blustery white-haired man with glasses pushed up on his forehead who’s lived in the neighborhood for 42 years. He points to a drab piece of land at the end of the street where a defunct sauerkraut factory stands. “They want to have a minaret with a muezzin who gives the call to prayer five times a day. Can you imagine? Five times a day over our rooftops.”
