Two thirds of the terrorists jailed in Australia were born in Lebanon or had parents born there.

Now the Muslim Lebanese community produces fresh reason to believe our immigration and refugee programs have put us in grave danger:

A family of suspected Islamist ­extremists allegedly plotted to bring down an Australian commercial jet by gassing the passengers, in what authorities believe was a major terrorist attack plan orchestrated by Islamic State milit­ants from within Syria.

Travellers were warned last night to expect major delays at the nation’s airports as authorities rolled out extra security measures to counter what sources said was a fast-moving, still unfolding terror conspiracy, the full extent of which was not yet known.

Four Lebanese Australians — two fathers and two sons — were in custody after police swooped on the cell and thwarted what they will allege was a sophisticated ­attempt to kill hundreds of people by crashing a civilian plane.

We need to slash immigration and freeze refugee programs until we have an honest and frank inquiry into the links between immigration and terrorism, crime, welfarism and unemployment.

We must work out whether we are importing more danger than good.

If you say we can’t even discuss this for fear of the world thinking us racist, ask yourself: how often do you hear people complain that Japan is racist for taking in virtually no refugees and few immigrants? How often do in fact hear how safe Japan is?

Several people are in custody tonight following police investigations into “a bomb plot involving aircraft”.

The NSW Joint Counter Terrorism Team raided properties in Surry Hills, Lakemba, Wiley Park and Punchbowl:

Four men have been taken into custody and are assisting police with their inquiries, according to a joint AFP and NSW Police statement.

The Seven Network reports 40 riot squad officers stormed a Surry Hills terrace before the explosives team found a suspicious device.

Fairfax Media reports the raids were in relation to a terrorist cell “and a bomb plot involving aircraft”.

In Goodlet Lane, Surry Hills, witnesses spotted a man with a heavily bandaged head and a woman with cable tied wrists being treated by paramedics.

Neighbour Kate Harrison said she heard a man yelling from a nearby yard, pleading for someone to call the police.

It’s a wild time in the old town tonight.

Kleine Zeitung reports that two people were killed, and that the shooter was “known to police.” But the police insist that this was not a jihad terror attack, since after all, hardly anything ever really is. Just coincidentally, the believers in a religion that calls for the murder of those who do not believe the same way, and/or who behave in a manner that the religion forbids, keep killing people who are among those the religion calls them to kill, but the killings never have anything to do with that religion. Only greasy Islamophobes would not buy this.

The BBC doesn’t see fit to mention the fact, but he was screaming “Allahu akbar” as he stabbed the shoppers.

“‘He was known as an Islamist but not a jihadist,’ police spokesman Andy Grote said, noting that the suspect also suffered from ‘psychological’ issues.”

So here again we have jihad being ignored as a motive, and the incident ascribed to mental illness. Authorities have yet to explain why there is this global outbreak of mental illness among Muslims.

“He was known as an Islamist but not a jihadist”? Non-Muslims throw these words around without any idea of their provenance or of the contents of Islamic theology and law. “Islamist” is actually a Western coinage that has no meaning or validity in Islamic texts or teachings.

‘A victim of Trumpism’: Victorian MP Eideh livid after being denied US entry

Victorian Labor MP Khalil Eideh doesn’t believe his dual Syrian and Australian citizenship or his recent trips to Syria influenced a US decision to refuse him entry while on official parliamentary business.

Mr Eideh returned to Melbourne on Saturday after he was stopped from boarding a flight to the US from Canada 48 hours earlier.

“I’ve been discriminated against,” the upper house MP told reporters at Melbourne airport.

“I’m very, very disappointed and frustrated.”

A TERRORIST plot to bring down a domestic flight with a bomb was at the centre of a series of raids across ­Sydney yesterday targeting an alleged Islamic extremist cell.

Wearing gas masks and ballistic ­armour, backed by fire crews and specially trained paramedics, officers from the Joint Counter Terrorism Team stormed three properties in Sydney’s west — at Sproule St, Lakemba, Renown Ave, Wiley Park, and Victoria Rd, Punchbowl — and a terrace on Goodlet Lne, Surry Hills, in the inner city.

The raids had been planned for ­several days and are understood to have been brought forward for ­operational reasons.

• Metal detectors and are commonplace at most prominent mosques in the Middle East, and more than 5,000 surveillance cameras (and 100,000 security guards) monitor pilgrims to Mecca in Saudi Arabia during the annual Hajj.
• While the Palestinian terrorist was being treated for his wounds in an Israeli hospital, the Palestinian Authority celebrated his actions and set in motion the mechanism according to which he will receive a salary of more than $3,000 per month for his attempt to become a “martyr” through murdering Jews.
• It is time for the international community to stop enabling radicals to use the Palestinian people as pawns in their greater agenda, transparent to everyone, including all Muslims: to obliterate Israel through delegitimization.

After massive pressure from the Muslim world and international community, Israel removed all metal detectors and surveillance-camera infrastructure from the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, the location of Al-Aqsa Mosque.

Possibly to obfuscate the reason that the metal detectors were installed in the first place — a terrorist attack on July 14, in which three Israeli Arab citizens killed two Israeli Druze police officers with weapons they had hidden inside the mosque — the Palestinian Authority (PA) called on Muslims to boycott the site and launch “days of rage” against the Jewish state.

Palestinians, claiming that the metal detectors were a “desecration” of the mosque — which is actually located on the holiest site in Judaism and the third-holiest in Islam – entered into violent clashes with Israeli security forces. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan denounced Israel and called on Muslims to “protect” Jerusalem.

A Palestinian teenager posted on Facebook his intention to become a “martyr,” before entering the home of a Jewish family in the West Bank and slaughtering three of its members. Investigators searched Justine Damond’s house for bodily fluids, weapons and drugs after the bride-to-be was shot and killed by a U.S. police officer.

According to court records released on Wednesday, investigators asked for two search warrants, one for the alley behind Justine’s house where she reported a potential rape, and another for her house itself.

Criminal expert Joseph Daly claimed there was no apparent reason for detectives to search the 40-year-old Australian woman’s home.

‘When I read that I really cannot find probably cause to search her home,’ Mr Daly told 5 Eyewitness News.

Detectives reportedly found nothing of interest in the search of Justine’s home after she was fatally shot by a police officer behind her Minneapolis home on July 15.

Investigators searched the house for ‘bodily fluids, controlled substances, and writings’, court documents revealed.
