STATE taxpayers will fund a “mosque open day” to help “weed out Islamophobia” in Australia.

Victorian mosques will open their doors and hearts to the public of all beliefs to strengthen community spirit, build better relationships with neighbours and breakdown misconceptions about Islam.

Next month’s event will involve several mosques across Victoria opening their doors to non-Muslim neighbours, local schools, businesses, church groups and politicians.

~~Islamists~~ Mohammedan headbangers in Turkey celebrate a narrow win of their hero, Recep Erdogan Pasha, in yesterday’s referendum, described as a fraud by the democratic and secular opposition.

The narrow margin of ‘yes’ votes, handing quasi-dictatorial powers to Erdogan Pasha, together with the harsh way in which opposing voices where intimidated and suppressed, gives rise to more civil unrest and violence.

Is this statement likely to make any Muslims turn away from the idea that “blasphemers” should be murdered? No. And this is because, as is so often the case with statements of this kind, it’s factually false. Islam mandates death for non-Muslim subjects of the Islamic state who mention “something impermissible about Allah, the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace), or Islam” (‘Umdat al-Salik, o11.10), and such laws are based upon passages in the Hadith and Sira in which Muhammad orders the murders of people who have insulted him.

These include Abu Afak, who was over one hundred years old, and the poetess Asma bint Marwan. Abu Afak was killed in his sleep, in response to Muhammad’s question, “Who will avenge me on this scoundrel?” Similarly, Muhammad on another occasion cried out, “Will no one rid me of this daughter of Marwan?” One of his followers, Umayr ibn Adi, went to her house that night, where he found her sleeping next to her children. The youngest, a nursing babe, was in her arms. But that didn’t stop Umayr from murdering her and the baby as well. Muhammad commended him: “You have done a great service to Allah and His Messenger, Umayr!” (Ibn Ishaq, 674-676)

Then there was Ka’b bin Al-Ashraf. Muhammad asked: “Who is willing to kill Ka’b bin Al-Ashraf who has hurt Allah and His Apostle?” One of the Muslims, Muhammad
bin Maslama answered, “O Allah’s Apostle! Would you like that I kill him?” When Muhammad said that he would, Muhammad bin Maslama said, “Then allow me to say a (false) thing (i.e. to deceive Kab).” Muhammad responded: “You may say it.” Muhammad bin Maslama duly lied to Ka’b, luring him into his trap, and murdered him. (Sahih Bukhari, volume 5, book 59, number 369)

Likewise Islam QA calls for death for blasphemers, using both Qur’an and Hadith to make its argument. “The scholars
are unanimously agreed,” the site explains, “that a Muslim who insults the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) becomes a kaafir [unbeliever] and an apostate who is to be executed. This consensus was narrated by more than one of the scholars, such as Imaam Ishaaq ibn Raahawayh, Ibn al-Mundhir, al-Qaadi ‘Iyaad, al-Khattaabi and others.”

A ~~controversial~~ sheikh who condemned a video by an Islamist extremist group justifying domestic violence had himself argued husbands had a right to sex with their wives.

Sheikh Shady Alsuleiman, president of the Australian National Imams Council, is the first name on a list of 34 prominent Muslims who slammed a Hizb ut-Tahrir video featuring two women making the case for domestic violence.

However, last year he delivered a sermon at Lakemba, in Sydney’s southwest, arguing men reportedly had ‘authority’ over their wives.

He has since denied arguing men had a right to demand sex with their spouses.

People are held for ransom, forced labour or sexual exploitation after being sold for up to $500, UN agency says.

Hundreds of African refugees and migrants passing through Libya are being bought and sold in modern-day slave markets before being held for ransom or used as forced labour or for sexual exploitation, survivors have told the UN’s migration agency.

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) said on Tuesday that it had interviewed West African migrants who recounted being traded in garages and car parks in the southern city of Sabha, one of Libya’s main people-smuggling centres.

Refugees in Libya: ‘Smugglers have lost all humanity’

People are bought for between $200 and $500 and are held on average for two to three months, Othman Belbeisi, head of the IOM’s Libya mission, said in Geneva.

“Migrants are being sold in the market as a commodity,” he said. “Selling human beings is becoming a trend among smugglers as the smuggling networks in Libya are becoming stronger and stronger.”

The refugees and migrants – many from Nigeria, Senegal and The Gambia – are captured as they head north towards Libya’s Mediterranean coast, where some try to catch boats for Italy.

DON’T believe the Muslim apologists. The Koran really does instruct men to beat wives who don’t obey.

Prominent imams and celebrity Muslims are misleading us in their panic over a Hizb ut Tahrir video showing two Muslim women demonstrating just how men should do that hitting.

The Koran says no such thing, they claim, but it does and the Department of Social Services has sponsored another video in which an imam explains one of the rules: don’t hit the face.

That’s right. Sheik Ayman Malas of Cabramatta Mosque, in a video of Muslim clerics denouncing domestic violence, actually explains in Arabic: “The Prophet (peace be upon him) said do not abuse the face.”

It shows the desperation of our political class to believe the best of Islam that it doesn’t even hear what an imam says in government propaganda.

That same desperation now drives politicians to join prominent Muslims in attacking the women behind the Hizb ut Tahrir video. They’d rather blame these women than admit the real problem is the Koran — the word of the Prophet Mohamed.

In West Yorkshire, dozens of men and women face charges of rape, trafficking with intent to engage in sexual exploitation, sexual activity with a child, child neglect and child abduction.

It’s Rotherham all over again:

The defendants – 24 of which are from Huddersfield – were charged after girls as young as 11 were raped and sexually abused.

The cases involving the 27 men and two women were heard in a specially dedicated courtroom at Kirklees Magistrates’ Court today.

They face numerous allegations including rape, trafficking with intent to engage in sexual exploitation, sexual activity with a child, child neglect, child abduction, assault, supply of class A drugs, and possession and making of indecent images of children.

The charges against the defendants are historic, dated between 2004 and 2011, and relate to 18 female victims.

The offences were committed in the Huddersfield area and are alleged to have taken place when the victims were aged between 11 and 17.

They were charged after police launched a series of raids across West Yorkshire known as Operation Tendersea.

They questioned 120 girls about alleged abuse over the seven-year period and 16 provided evidence which led to the defendants’ arrests.

Of the defendants charged, 34-year-old Amere Dhaliwal of Holly Road in Thornton Lodge, faces 54 charges including 21 of rape.

Two women, Shahnaz Malik, 55, of St Anne’s Avenue in Ainley Top, and Naveeda Habib, 38, of Prince Wood Lane in Birkby, face charges of child neglect.

Concerns over systematic child sexual abuse in the area were first raised nearly a decade ago. The defendants are next due in court on May 11
