The events in Cologne were just a prelude: Many Arab migrants bring very misogynistic social values to Germany. That makes it almost impossible for them to be integrated. A guest commentary.

Is there any connection between the attacks on New Year’s Eve in Cologne and the situation in Syria? The answer is: Yes, there is a connection and the common denominator is violence against women.

Many of my German discussion partners do not seem to understand the violence that is directed against women in a oriental patriarchal culture. In the orient, a woman is not considered an entity, but an object of a man’s honour. The violation of a woman is not viewed only as a sexual act and crime against the woman herself, but more as an act of humiliation of the man to whom she belongs.

In this barbaric war in Syria, that completely erroneously is called a “civil war” (no citizens, but rather ethno-religious collectives, are fighting each other in it), the Shiite-Alawite soldiers of the Syrian army rape women of the Sunni opposition as a method of warfare.

With rape, these Alawites are seeking to dishonour the men of the Sunni opposition. The Sunni “rebels” for their part do the same with Alawite women. It is a war of all against all with women as pawns.

Cologne was not an isolated case

As a Syrian from Damascus, I am astonished at the ignorance and naïveté of the Chancellor and her defence minister, who believe that they can end the war with conferences in Geneva and Munich. But this war should be categorized as a “protracted conflict” that will be with us for many years. It is a type of war that I call “an irregular not state-run war.”

Among the war refugees, there are not only victims of violence but also many perpetrators, and even numerous Islamists. Added to that is the fact that these predominantly young men aged 14 to 20 bring with them the culture of violence, including against women, from the Near East to Germany. New Year’s Eve in Cologne is just a demonstration of that, and no isolated case as our politicians like to pretend in order to downplay the significance of the matter.

Jordan signed the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights in 1976.

This covenant says

Everyone shall have the right to freedom of thought, conscience and religion. This right shall include freedom to have or to adopt a religion or belief of his choice, and freedom, either individually or in community with others and in public or private, to manifest his religion or belief in worship, observance, practice and teaching.

This covenant indicates pretty clearly that Jews have the right to practice their religion on the spot that is the undisputed holiest place in Judaism.

But Jordan has again engaged  in a rhetorical attack on Jews who peacefully visit their holiest site:

The Jordanian government on Thursday condemned the “storming of Jewish extremists” of the Temple Mount under the protection of Israeli police so they wouldn’t be lynched.
.
The Minister for Media Affairs, government spokesman Mohammad Momanim, said in a press release that Jordan “strongly condemns these provocative acts that offend the sanctity of the holy place and the feelings of Muslims all over the world and we call on the Israeli authorities to stop it immediately.”

So the “feelings of Muslims” are more important than Jews having the basic human right to visit their holiest spot – let alone pray there.

Momani urged the international community to pressure Israel to adhere to fictional obligations to keep Jews off the Mount.

He condemned and rejected the actions of “Jewish extremists” and said that their quiet strolls are a “mockery of the importance of continued calm and an abuse of international efforts to re-launch serious negotiations between the Israeli occupation and the Palestinians.”

Here you can see those terrible “Jewish extremists” doing their storming this week. Prepare to be shocked at how provocative they are.

At the same time, Muslims erected a banner celebrating the founder of Hamas Sheikh Yassin on the Temple Mount.

No one condemned that.

• As bad as this is, there is an even darker side to the story: Under sharia law, the second husband is under no obligation to give his wife a quick divorce – allowing him to keep her as his virtual sex slave for as long as he wishes.

• It is British law, not sharia, law that protects Muslim individuals and couples, as it does any other citizen. Contrary to what apologists for this travesty say, the plight of Muslim women should be treated as an issue of human rights.

LOOKING back, it’s almost quaint how united we all were following the slaughter of 3000 people in the US on September 11, 2001. In those simpler days, it was universally agreed that we might just have a problem with Islamic extremism.

The only holdouts were so-called 9/11 truthers, who simultaneously believed that then-president George W. Bush was a simpleton yet also capable of pulling off the greatest conspiracy in history. There are still some who insist Bush and his evil minions somehow loaded the World Trade Center towers with explosives and then set in train the events leading to 9/11.

Run a Google search on “controlled demolition” and prepare to enter a parallel universe of absolute madness. Among normals, however, the cause of 9/11 was clearly apparent: a bunch of crazed Osama bin Laden devotees took over four passenger jets and aimed them at targets throughout the US.

This was understood across the political spectrum. Leftist Christopher Hitchens, for example, had this to say a couple of months after 9/11: “I should perhaps confess that on September 11 last, once I had experienced all the usual mammalian gamut of emotions, from rage to nausea, I also discovered that another sensation was contending for mastery.

“On examination, and to my own surprise and pleasure, it turned out be exhilaration. Here was the most frightful enemy — theocratic barbarism — in plain view … Other and better people were gloomy at the prospect of confrontation. But I realised that if the battle went on until the last day of my life, I would never get bored in prosecuting it to the utmost.”

Hitchens continued the fight until his death 10 years later. But something strange has happened among many of his fellow leftists, and indeed throughout the community of civilised nations. Despite some 30,000 Islamic terrorist attacks since, at a rate of more than five per day, the world is now less inclined to face reality than it was 16 years ago.

The modern fashion is instead to turn away from reality and then applaud your own decency and virtue.

In Australia, one alleged media organisation will, these days, actually omit information about a murderous terrorist’s appearance if it hints at a fondness for Islam.

“I won’t go into reports about what the man identified by eyewitnesses as carrying a gun was wearing or what he looked like,” The Guardian’s Calla Wahlquist wrote in her coverage of Curtis Cheng’s shooting in 2015. She was referring to news that Cheng’s killer, Farhad Khalil Mohammad Jabar, had been wearing black robes.

Melton Housing development creating a ‘Muslim-only’ community

Welcome to Iqra Village, Australia’s first Muslim housing estate: ‘Faith-based’ neighbourhood in Melbourne features 75 new homes and its own mosque

• Housing estate at Melton South in Melbourne will be marketed at Muslims
• Iqra Village will be divided in 75 lots and targeting South Asian migrants
• Developers have plans to build a mosque at centre of new neighbourhood
• Vacant land is near where anti-Islamic protesters staged a violent rally

Developers of a new housing estate in suburban Melbourne are only targeting Islamic families in what has been described as one of Australia’s biggest faith-based developments.

Iqra Village, the residential project at Melton South in Melbourne’s west, will be divided into 75 lots and marketed towards South Asian migrants.

There are also plans to build a mosque at the centre of the neighbourhood where two houses have already been built.

Melton City Council have some explaining to do. It is against our laws to separate by race, religion or gender, so this development would be illegal if it was reserved for one group. Honestly I thought that Left wing “poitically correct” policies had been debunked based on the results thus far of segregating groups in society e.g. the public housing ghettos of the 1970s etc.

The vacant block of land is just a few kilometres from where Reclaim Australia protesters staged a violent rally last year over Islamic migration.

Australian Federation of Islamic Councils treasurer Keysar Trad told Nine’s A Current Affair that Muslims may want to live in the estate to be free of discrimination and misunderstanding. 

‘This particular venture is an indication there’s a feeling out there that there’s perhaps less acceptance of Muslims,’ he said.

‘A project of this nature will allow people to be able to develop a local place of worship or a local school without too many objections from neighbours. They won’t be getting in anybody’s way, it’s something within their local community.

Feds Arrest Detroit Doctor for Female Genital Mutilation of Girls Across American Midwest

Dr. Jumana Nagarwala was arrested by the FBI Thursday and charged with carrying out female genital mutilation (FGM) on multiple six to eight-year-old girls at her Livonia, Michigan office.

Dr. Nagarwala’s case is the first FGM prosecution in America under a new law aimed at the practice, according to a press release from the Department of Justice. The 11-page complaint issued accompanying her arrest makes guarded references to “members of a particular religious and cultural community.”
