This is the person who appointed Jason Arday as a Professor at Cambridge. She is Sonita Alleyne, elected Master of Jesus College despite having had no academic career herself.

She ran a media company and appeared on Radio and TV promoting “diversity” for which she got an OBE.

She accepted all Arday’s fake claims about having held previous professorships at Glasgow and Ohio universities etc without checking them out.

Many students complained about Arday’s incompetence but the college and the Faculty ignored them.

She wasn’t competent to check out his “research” because she’s never done any herself. He went on faking it for years and publishing it under the college name.

She should be sacked at once. She must return her lavish salary and transfer her pension payments to the students who were cheated.

If ‘woke’ in wakademia continues, someone like this will become your doctor, lawyer, surgeon or pilot. It will be a crime to complain.

DEI must die to prevent another Jason Arday scandal

There is no incentive to employ a white male academic.

The Jason Arday scandal might seem extraordinary to many. It is less surprising for those of us in academia who have witnessed how structures have been put in place to ensure that DEI (diversity, equity, and inclusion) poster boys like Arday can flourish.

I have been speaking out about such developments since at least 2017 when I was turned down for an academic post at the University of Durham. A former don at Cambridge and Oxford, I had three monographs and about 17 articles in leading academic journals, and yet the post was given to a girl with just one article publication. After the process concluded, I was told: “You were by far and away the best candidate, but we couldn’t employ you because you are not diverse.” There are, of course, many such stories. This is what universities call ‘social justice’: the bureaucratised pre-occupation of failed academics.

Wakademia needs to purge DEI hirelings

Scientific enquiry must return to the burden of proof.

They must expel all the woke Marxist teaching staff.

Oops, that’s 80% of them.

To restore its reputation, Cambridge needs to close following:

Gender Studies

Post Colonial Studies

Sociology

These departments employ ‘researchers’ airing ideological grievances dressed up in gibberish. Not grounded in an any scholarly tradition, they allure fakes.

DEI hires are a danger to society. It gives their position legitimacy when they do not deserve it on merit.

Arday is clearly only the newest idiot to be caught, but so many exists in Academia, with their silly titles and even sillier studies, that do nothing for humanity, but certainly, takes up valuable funds from more deserving departments.

Arday committed fraud and should be prosecuted. Students who were subjected to his classes should sue the school. Administrators who hired him should be fired. All other DEI hires should be fired.

This is brutal – from John McWhorter on the Arday Cambridge fiasco:

“The youngest-ever black professor at Cambridge properly should have been a physical education teacher who did some after-hours tutoring. A make-believe academic who misspelled paltry as poultry in the title slide of a keynote address instead scaled the heights of Britain’s Harvard because of his skin color and his exceptionally long dreadlocks.”

Any critics (including students who complained about poor teaching) were immediately accused of racism and of having white privilege.

Disgusting and disgraceful. Lesson- don’t back down to these racist DEI frauds.

The Telegraph revealed that panel members Michalinos Zembylas and Anoop Nayak, who sat on the committee for Arday’s professorship in the sociology of education, have explored ‘whiteness’ as an oppressive force and the need to decolonize teaching.
 
This comes as Arday resigned amid plagiarism allegations tied to his 2015 doctoral thesis from Liverpool John Moores University and scrutiny of his upcoming memoir. While supporters call the backlash an attack on diversity, critics question if academic standards were compromised, prompting Cambridge to investigate his qualifications before his exit. Arday has denied any wrongdoing.

On this day in 1944, 2,544 Americans were killed on the beaches of Normandy.

Cambridge was under intense pressure on diversity when the post was advertised in 2023.
A 2019 race action plan had set a target of reaching “at least the national benchmark in BAME professors (9.6 per cent) with actions planned to exceed national benchmark.”
The job advert itself highlighted under-representation of women, Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic candidates, and those with disabilities.

How did Britain get so broken?

We often ask: how did Britain get so broken?

Prof. Jason Arday, the Milli Vanilli of academia, the man who HUMILIATED Britain’s woke elite, may offer a partial answer.

There needs to be a root and branch investigation into D.E.I. hires, not only in academia, but in companies, organisations and institutions across the UK, and also in the USA, Canada and everywhere else that has embraced this ludicrous policy of self-harm.

This story is far bigger than Arday and does not end with his resignation.

It is a national scandal that has exposed the corruption, incompetence and ideological capture of universities, the police, the media and the Woke Establishment. It should sound the death knell for D.E.I. programmes and the ridiculous non-subjects that feed it (eg Critical Race Theory)

Leading public figures in politics, academia and the media also have serious questions to answer.

The woke mind virus has addled their brains so badly that they couldn’t or wouldn’t see what was so blatantly obvious to everyone else.

Under The Fraud Act 2006, providing false information with the intent to gain a benefit for yourself or another person is classified as “fraud by false representation.”

Arday is widely credited with personally holding the English line for nine hours, killing 2,847 Norman soldiers, capturing 316 horses and shooting the arrow that famously struck King Harold in the eye, before realising he was supposed to be fighting on Harold’s side and immediately removing it.

He then carried the wounded King Harold four miles to safety under one arm while continuing to fight the Norman cavalry with the other, before returning to the battlefield and defeating William the Conqueror in single combat.

Unfortunately, William subsequently invaded again while Jason was on his lunch break, which is the only reason England fell to the Normans. The Bayeux Tapestry was commissioned specifically to record his achievements.

A reporter says police told him to stop asking questions of a Cambridge professor after he investigated allegations about the academic’s record.

Erstwhile Professor of sociology of education Jason Arday at the prestigious University of Cambridge and Jesus College Cambridge tendered his immediate resignation overnight, a sudden change in course after months of punchy denials from both the academic and the institution over probity claims that range from allegedly faked publications, alleged thesis plagiarism, to claims of alleged acts of physical intimidation against him.

Arday’s letter of resignation went long on promoting his own achievements, but fell short of any admission of wrongdoing or an apology, and indeed insisted that “This is not the end of my work. It is simply the end of this chapter”. Reflecting on his appointment as professor at Cambridge in 2023, Arday claimed “Thousands celebrated not simply my appointment, but what it represented: that talent, perseverance and hope can triumph over even the greatest adversity”, and lamented what he described as a campaign of harassment against him since. Claude Salhami was ‘aghast’ at a recent politicalislam.com newsletter-Is a Nice Muslim a Good Muslim? He replied to the newsletter with his Scourge of ‘Islam Experts’, but he missed my point.

The point of the Nice Muslim newsletter is that the doctrine of Islam is inhuman, not that Muslims always practice the Islamic doctrine at all times. A Muslim can be a fine person in dealing with a kafir when they are not practicing Islam. A summary of the Nice Muslim argument is:

  • The Koran defines the kafir, a non-Muslim. A kafir is hated and plotted against by Allah. Kafirs can be killed, tortured, crucified, raped, insulted, enslaved and deceived. Kafir is the worst word in the human language.  kafir does not have any positive attributes.
  • There is no Golden Rule in Islamic ethics. The Koran repeats 12 times that a Muslim is not the friend of a kafir.
  • Mohammed repeatedly said that it is good to deceive the kafirs, if it advances Islam.
  • Mohammed destroyed each and every kafir neighbor. It is Islam’s purpose to make all kafirs submit to Islam.
  • A Muslim can only be a true friend to a kafir by the use of the Golden Rule, a non-Islamic principle.

Arday was exposed because his claims are so bold; but there could be thousands, tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands similarly unqualified figures who have slipped by unnoticed

All hired & promoted despite lack of skill or qualification – despite the risk to their patients or clients.

Institutions willfully damaging their reputations simply to fill diversity quotas and be seen to embrace the latest fashion.

Arday should sound the death knell for D.E.I. and the ridiculous woke disciplines that feed it (Critical Race Theory etc.). But that’s not going to happen.

Our woke establishment have too much invested in this – and admitting the truth would be too humiliating.

He did make it all up.  Cambridge professor Jason Arday told a university audience he appeared on the TV series “Seven Up.” One small problem: that show premiered in 1964. He wasn’t born until 1985.
 
He also claimed he didn’t learn to read or write until he was 18, then somehow ended up a Cambridge professor. Now he’s in the middle of a plagiarism scandal too, accused of lifting parts of his PhD thesis from someone else’s work.
 
His response? He’s not a “liar” or a “fantasist,” just misunderstood.
Being on a TV show that aired 21 years before you were born isn’t a “misunderstanding.” It’s fiction.
 
At what point do we stop calling this an “error” and start calling it what it is?
