An academic with historic links to the now banned Hizb ut-Tahrir terror group has been recruited by Cambridge University to the same faculty as ex-professor Jason Arday.

Arday decided to kick the bucket after being exposed as a fraud.

The University of Cambridge is facing fresh scrutiny after it emerged that a former member of the now-proscribed extremist group Hizb ut-Tahrir was given a role as assistant research professor in the institution’s faculty of education last year.

According to the publication, Dr Ahmed’s chapter for the 2002 Hizb ut-Tahrir pamphlet ‘Education and Identity’ was republished in 2017.

Hizb ut-Tahrir was proscribed in the UK in 2024. 

The Spectator reported that in the pamphlet, she wrote: ‘The Muslim community as a whole in Britain needs to recognise that western education is a threat to our beliefs and values.’

She attacked schools’ ‘attempts to integrate Muslim children’ as seeking to ‘produce new generations that reject Islam’ and added: ‘if society is built on kufr [unbelief], it is our duty to tackle this challenge as a community in order to protect our young from its corruption.’

Cambridge defends academic over ‘produce weaponry for Jihad’ article

Cambridge has now told Jewish News that Ahmed says the comments were not written by her and do not represent her views.

A spokesperson for the Faculty of Education, University of Cambridge, said: “These comments were made in an article to which Dr Ahmed contributed as a historical researcher more than 20 years ago. She has said that they are not her words and do not reflect her views. Dr Ahmed also reiterated that she ended her association with Hizb ut-Tahrir more than 15 years ago, long before the group was proscribed. Her appointment at Cambridge followed a standard recruitment process and complied fully with the University’s legal obligations as an employer.”

Ahmed previously said in 2010 that she no longer supported “all” the views of Hizb ut-Tahrir and had not recently been involved with the organisation.

The revelations follow separate scrutiny of an education project led by Ahmed which promotes an Islamic curriculum. The Spectator reported last week that teaching material promoted by the project described Israelis taken hostage by Hamas on 7 October as “prisoners of war”, called Hamas an “excuse” used by Israel to justify attacks on Gaza and included a map on which Israel did not appear.

Hizb ut-Tahrir was proscribed by the UK government on 19 January 2024. Announcing the ban, the government described it as an antisemitic organisation which “actively promotes and encourages terrorism” and pointed to its praise for the Hamas attacks on Israel on 7 October 2023.

“Professor Arday was a victim of a brutal, racist witch hunt,” claims Amnesia.

It depicts the serial fabulist as “Black autistic man whose journey expanded our imaginations and understanding of what we believed possible in academia”.

That last part is certainly true.

Here’s the incredible closing sentence.

“The media must be held accountable for failing to honour these boundaries. Professor Arday’s family must not be subjected to further intrusion, speculation or online abuse. The most meaningful tribute we can offer is not merely remembrance but a commitment to tangible, real-world change: building systems and enforcing laws to ensure that Black, disabled, neurodivergent and those easily excluded can live, work, contribute and flourish without being forced to bear the costs of institutional failures and public cruelty.”

“Laws to ensure that black” public figures can’t be covered by the media or have their scandals reported on. Can white conservative public figures have their scandals reported on? Obviously. This is a two-tier system in which the goal is to censor the opposition and suppress any exposure of the leftist ruling class.

Amnesty International Amnesia Intentional was spawned over a hoax in which people were supposedly locked up over their speech. The actual event was based on a newspaper article, it had never actually happened, but that didn’t stop Amnesty International from raising and spending millions of dollars, and preaching to everyone about the importance of ‘human rights’ for succeeding generations.

(Also, according to its founder, secretly operating as a tool of British intelligence services, but that’s a conversation for another time.)

Much like the ACLU and other ‘human rights groups’, Amnesty became increasingly for state crackdowns on speech and civil rights. Now it has come full circle in endorsing ‘Arday’s Law’.

To recap, Jason Arday was a DEI professor at Cambridge whose entire bio turned out to have been made up… quite obviously so because it considered of bizarre claims about raising fortunes, winning marathons and being unable to speak until he was 18 years old.

In the wake of accused plagiarist and serial fabulist Jason Arday’s death, an influential band of activists within Great Britain’s largest academic union is demanding action—not to change the policies at Cambridge that led the school to hire and defend Arday, but to “shield other black academics from scrutiny from what they view as a racist, right-wing conspiracy,” the investigative journalist Ben Ryan writes for the Free Beacon.
An activist caucus within the University and College Union held a virtual organizing meeting Tuesday night to discuss Arday’s death. “The Free Beacon obtained a recording of the raw and emotional gathering of several dozen members, during which the angry scholars repeatedly denounced the attacks on Arday as the product of a racist, right-wing mob seeking to drive blacks out of the academy,” Ryan writes.

There is no cure for woke crackpots in wakademia.

Cambridge University’s education faculty – former home of Jason Arday – has appointed as assistant research professor who wrote that Muslims should study engineering and computers ‘to produce advanced weaponry for Jihad in order that the deen [Islam] may dominate over all other deens.’.
Two weeks ago we covered one chapter Ahmed wrote in a Hizb pamphlet – published in 2002, and republished in 2017 (Ahmed was not involved in the republication) – where she attacked ‘western education’ as a ‘threat’ to Muslims, condemned democracy and integration, and criticised British schools for teaching pupils that child marriage is wrong.
However, the same pamphlet includes a second, even more radical chapter, co-written by Ahmed and another senior Hizb activist, Nazreen Nawaz, head of its women’s section.
This describes Hizb’s plan to create a fully Islamic education system as part of the Islamic dictatorship, the Khilafah, which is its core goal. As the chapter puts it: ‘nothing will be contained within the curriculum that contradicts with Islam, such as the teaching of the ideas of freedom, nationalism, democracy or evolution in a positive light’.
‘Nor can there be any schools established on any other religion, sect or race… Even the non-Muslims need to be educated under the educational curriculum of Islam… by pushing them to think about the correct belief in life.’

Trinity Assistant Professor of Education, Dr David Limond, was one of 179 signatories of “A statement in support of Nathan Cofnas’s Right to Academic Freedom of Expression”. Other signatories included Australian philosopher Peter Singer, Canadian psychologist Steven Pinker, and American philosopher Jeff McMahan.
The statement refers to another statement by members of Ghent University, in Belgium, calling on the university to rescind Cofnas’s appointment as a postdoctoral researcher. It cites part of a statement that claims his views “violate the university’s code of ethics and are morally beneath contempt”.

Hundreds of Academics Support Arday Accuser Nathan Cofnas in Open Letter

Hundreds of academics have signed an open letter calling on Ghent University in Belgium to protect from punishment Nathan Cofnas, the postdoctoral researcher and self-described “race realist” who accused the late Cambridge professor Jason Arday of plagiarizing parts of his Ph.D. thesis. 

“As academics, we are concerned that Ghent University’s disciplinary proceedings against Dr. Cofnas appear to constitute retaliation, at least in part, for publicizing academic misconduct that occurred in British universities,” the scholars wrote. “An essential component of academic freedom is the ability to scrutinize the scholarship of other academics, regardless of their position or status. This must include the freedom to provide evidence of academic misconduct, such as plagiarism and fabrication. The pursuit of truth depends on rigorous self-policing by academics.”

Jason Arday was a fraudulent, lying, and CORRUPT second generation Ghanaian migrant. He wasn’t some “black British hero” who was “hounded to death” by the media. No. He was a DEI token boy who got to his position simply because he was black and Cambridge University needed their poster boy. His death is on the hands of ANYONE who champions DEI, his family and friends, Cambridge University, and most importantly, HIMSELF.

As of Monday afternoon, 709 academics had signed the letter. Among them are professors at dozens of American universities, including Duke University, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Northeastern University, Texas A&M University and the University of California, Los Angeles. U.S. Ambassador to Belgium Slams Ghent University’s Retaliation Against American Whistleblower Who Exposed Academic Fraud

American academic Nathan Cofnas was suspended by Belgium’s Ghent University after he helped expose explosive plagiarism allegations involving the late Cambridge professor Jason Arday. Now, the U.S. Ambassador to Belgium, Bill White, is slamming the University’s decision.

In addition to being suspended, Cofnas shared that he is also under investigation for “discriminating” against Arday.

Woke Bay Area school took children on trip to mosque where girls were ‘encouraged’ to wear HIJABS while being told that Islam is aligned with social justice: lawsuit

A group of Bay Area parents and students are suing their local school district over a 2025 field trip where children were allegedly encouraged/coerced to wear Muslim religious attire like hijabs while visiting a mosque.

The federal suit filed last week by ten Palo Alto High School students names the Palo Alto Unified School District and Principal Brent Kline as defendants.

It alleges that photographs of the students were also posted online, without the parents’ permission.

House Report Exposes Chinese Communist Influence at Harvard

The House Select Committee on China and House Education and Workforce Committee on Thursday released a report detailing Harvard University’s troubling relationship with the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), including entities linked to human rights abuses.

“The American people expect our nation’s leading universities to protect American research and innovation, and never advance the interests of our nation’s adversaries. Right now, Harvard is failing to deliver on that expectation,” said Select Committee Chairman John Moolenaar (R-MI).

China’s new Ethnic Unity Law exposes the fraud at the centre of Australia’s multicultural debate. Beijing is not copying the Western model, celebrating competing identities or telling its own people that a shared national identity is offensive.
 
China is moving toward one national identity, one political loyalty, Mandarin as the national language, ethnic difference managed by the state, and legal consequences for anything Beijing decides undermines unity.
 
Meanwhile Australians are lectured that multiculturalism is sacred, assimilation is outdated, national culture must bend forever, and any concern about cohesion is bigotry. China looks at the same Western experiment, sees division, identity politics, imported conflicts and weak unity, then chooses hard assimilation for itself.
 
So where is Labor’s lecture to Beijing? Where is the demand that China embrace diversity, weaken its national identity and run the same multicultural model Australia is told to accept without question?
 
It will never come, because multiculturalism is treated as a one-way burden for countries like Australia. We are told to open, adapt, tolerate and celebrate, while powerful foreign states protect their own identity with language policy, borders, law and national loyalty.
 
The issue is not individual migrants. The issue is a political class that refuses to defend Australia as a serious nation with one public language, one law, one civic identity and one loyalty above every imported division.
 
China understands what Labor refuses to admit: a country that loses control of its national identity loses control of its future.

You gotta hand it to the Khmer Rouge.

To be sure, Pol Pot was a bad hombre. “Greatest Monsters of the 20th Century” is a competitive category, but he’s definitely in the running. I’ve been to the Killing Fields, and it’s grim as hell. So is the vibe in Phnom Penh, a charming French-colonial metropolis inhabited by Western perverts and weary locals still bearing the scars of communist terror.

Having said all that, I think we can all agree that Pol Pot was directionally right about academia and its corrosive effect on the social order. His intellectual descendants often talk about abolishing the institutions they don’t like. Pol Pot actually got it done.

It is ironic that universities which are meant to be theatres of open thinking and debate have ended up as hegemonic, close-minded factories of woke ideology.
If Britain’s universities are to salvage their tarnished reputations, there needs to be rapid systemic change. All the DEI criteria used for assessment and recruitment must be removed.
