Iranian Leaders Fear Mojtaba Khamenei’s Decline — Officials ‘Would Not Be Surprised’ by His Martyrdom

Senior Iranian officials are reportedly growing increasingly concerned about the health of the country’s unseen Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei, with one source close to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian’s government saying officials “would not be surprised” to soon hear news of his death.

IranWire reported Thursday, citing two sources close to Pezeshkian’s government, that rumors Khamenei is in “extremely critical condition” and could die at any moment are circulating widely within the highest levels of the Iranian regime.

One source close to Pezeshkian’s cabinet told the opposition outlet that Khamenei’s physical condition is poor.

“We would not be surprised if we heard news of his martyrdom soon,” the source said.

It is simply the end of this chapter”. Reflecting on his appointment as professor at Cambridge in 2023, Arday claimed “Thousands celebrated not simply my appointment, but what it represented: that talent, perseverance and hope can triumph over even the greatest adversity”, and lamented what he described as a campaign of harassment against him since. Bishop of Ceuta: “Migrants are Missionaries of Hope that Widen Our Hearts”

Last year, former Bishop Rafael Zornoza Boy of the Diocese of Cádiz y Ceuta marked World Migrant and Refugee Day in the Cathedral of Cádiz under the theme that “migrants are missionaries of hope that widen our hearts.”

According to the diocese website, “numerous migrants living in the diocese, who carried the flags of their countries of origin. Typical African songs and dances filled the cathedral, symbolizing the cultural richness and diversity that coexist in the diocesan community.”

Bishop Zornoza Boy urged parishioners to “attend to all who come without distinction and without discrimination” and the “Diocese of Cádiz and Ceuta renewed their commitment to the reception, respect and integration of migrants, recognizing in them a living testimony of Christian faith, hope and fraternity.” This was the longtime position of the diocese which in 2022 had relayed the message of Pope Francis that thanks to migrants “we have the opportunity to know better the world and the beauty of its diversity.”

After the recent mass invasion of Ceuta by tens of thousands of Moroccan Muslim migrants, the Diocese announced “that all collections taken this weekend in Ceuta’s parishes will be allocated to the Diocesan Office for Migrants. The funds will be channelled through the San Antonio Migrant Assistance Centre.”

Claude Salhami was ‘aghast’ at a recent politicalislam.com newsletter-Is a Nice Muslim a Good Muslim? He replied to the newsletter with his Scourge of ‘Islam Experts’, but he missed my point.

The point of the Nice Muslim newsletter is that the doctrine of Islam is inhuman, not that Muslims always practice the Islamic doctrine at all times. A Muslim can be a fine person in dealing with a kafir when they are not practicing Islam. A summary of the Nice Muslim argument is:

  • The Koran defines the kafir, a non-Muslim. A kafir is hated and plotted against by Allah. Kafirs can be killed, tortured, crucified, raped, insulted, enslaved and deceived. Kafir is the worst word in the human language.  kafir does not have any positive attributes.
  • There is no Golden Rule in Islamic ethics. The Koran repeats 12 times that a Muslim is not the friend of a kafir.
  • Mohammed repeatedly said that it is good to deceive the kafirs, if it advances Islam.
  • Mohammed destroyed each and every kafir neighbor. It is Islam’s purpose to make all kafirs submit to Islam.
  • A Muslim can only be a true friend to a kafir by the use of the Golden Rule, a non-Islamic principle.

Arday was exposed because his claims are so bold; but there could be thousands, tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands similarly unqualified figures who have slipped by unnoticed

All hired & promoted despite lack of skill or qualification – despite the risk to their patients or clients.

Institutions willfully damaging their reputations simply to fill diversity quotas and be seen to embrace the latest fashion.

Arday should sound the death knell for D.E.I. and the ridiculous woke disciplines that feed it (Critical Race Theory etc.). But that’s not going to happen.

Our woke establishment have too much invested in this – and admitting the truth would be too humiliating.

US president Trump: negotiations with Iran are “moving along very nicely”

Oil prices have fallen below $80 a barrel….

Any agreement between Iran and Oman on future shipping arrangements in the Strait of Hormuz would not lead to the immediate reopening of the strategic waterway, Iran’s state broadcaster IRIB reports, citing an informed source.

Trump said late on Tuesday a deal with Iran could come within hours, but Tehran has repeatedly denied having direct negotiations with Washington.

  • Iran’s state broadcaster IRIB has quoted an informed source as saying ongoing talks between Iran and Oman over the Strait of Hormuz “have nothing to do with the United States”.
  • Earlier, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio reported “progress” in the talks on the strait, while US Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent suggested an agreement could be reached as early as “today or tomorrow”.
  • The Houthis say they have attacked a Saudi oil tanker, named the Wafa, in the northern Red Sea with ballistic missiles.
