Benno BarnardOur Flemish correspondent VH reported on Thursday about the silencing of Benno Barnard at the University of Antwerp. Dr. Barnard was about to give a lecture on the differences between Islam and Christianity, but loud shouting and threats from a crowd of young Muslims forced the cancellation of his talk.

Dutch author and notorious critic of Islam, Benno Barnard, gave a lecture last night titled: “The Islam Debate: Long Live God, Down with Allah!”. It was part of a series of lectures about the Enlightenment, organized by the secularists in Antwerp University. Several radical Muslim organizations called beforehand via websites to come to the hall and disturb the lecture.

Antwerp: Violent Muslim Thugs Stop Islam-critical Lecture

An irate  group of  Mohammedans violently disrupted the guest lecture of Dutch author Benno Barnard and forced  the university in Antwerp (Belgium) to stop the lecture. The thugs managed to abort the reading through substantial threat of force.  The speaker is renown for Islam critical writings. Benno Barnard was prevented from speaking, and once again the will of allah prevailed at the university over free academic discourse and scientific enquiry. The police ordered reinforcements, nobody was arrested.

An der Universität Antwerpen (Belgien) haben jugendliche Mohammedaner die Gastvorlesung des niederländischen Autors Benno Barnard gestört und durch massive Gewaltandrohung den Abbruch der Veranstaltung erwirkt. Da der Vortragende für islamkritische Thesen bekannt ist, durfte er nach dem Willen der Mohammedaner nicht an der Universität vortragen und seine Sichtweise im akademischen Diskurs darstellen.
