Friday Night Assignment: Spot The Taqiyya!
Professor Abdullah Saeed holds the Sultan of Oman Chair of Arab and Islamic Studies and Director of the Centre for the Study of Contemporary Islam at the University of Melbourne. Today Andrew Bolt praised him for his well reasoned letter, printed in part on his blog in the Herald Sun. For those of our readers who are familiar with the concept of taqiyya, which means to lie, obfuscate and deflect away from Islam in order to deceive the infidel, professor Saeeds letter is a classic example of this deception that is all too often used to fool naive good natured multiculti-progressives in”Interfaith-(da’wa) activities to swallow just a little more of that foul smelling Islamic schmooze. But in this particular case professor Saeeds article is an attempt at damage control in regards to the arrested Somali “kids” in Victoria, designed to “defend Islam” from further scrutiny, which he believes is his religious duty and obligation.
Therefore all you seasoned Winds of Jihad readers should have no problem spotting the blatant taqiyya in the good professors writing.

When it’s said by a non-Muslim like me, it’s enough to have you branded a “far-right” anti-Muslim bigot who is playing the “race card”. Media Watch then jumps in to defend the hate preachers and smear you for trying to hold them to account. SBS even destroys tapes that confirm the danger you’re attempting to warn against.
But perhaps when it’s now said by a Muslim such as Abdullah Saeed, head of Melbourne University’s National Centre of Excellence for Islamic Studies, we may perhaps have a more serious dialogue:
The silent majority (of Muslim extremists) should strengthen its campaign of undermining the militancy and hatred advocated by the extremists. This campaign should begin at Friday sermons, in mosques, at homes, through lesson at Muslim weekend and day schools, in study circles and youth camps. This is no doubt happening but more needs to be done in view of the present situation.
There needs to be a strong and clear message that killing innocent people, be they Muslims or non-Muslims, is a grave sin and is prohibited in the strongest terms in the Koran and in keeping with Mohammed’s deeds…. Unless the theology of hate is challenged, it is likely to become the standard interpretation of their faith for many disaffected young Muslims.
It is important that mainstream Muslims stop—where that happens—berating the West for its supposed moral failings and preaching that Muslims cannot be fully Muslim in Australia if they are actively involved in Australian society as full citizens…
The basis of some hate-filled literature is that non-Muslims are kuffar (unbelievers) and therefore do not deserve to be treated with respect. Such views are rightly rejected by mainstream Muslims. But rejection is not enough. They need to promote the Koranic teaching that all human beings, whatever their faith, deserve to be honoured as the children of Adam…
It is important to deal with militant extremism at the ideological-theological level as a matter of urgency. Mere condemnation is insufficient. Sitting on the fence will not help either. Muslim Australians and their religious leaders can play a crucial role in dealing with the theology of hatred and violence.
I appreciate Saeed’s frank speech and courage, and wish only I’d have heard more such voices several years earlier – particularly when I was being vilified for saying the very same thing. But what is alarming is that Saeed actually needs to say this – that there really is now a great need to tackle a “theology of hate” that is otherwise “likely to become the standard interpretation of their faith for many disaffected young Muslims”.
Not such a tiny minority, after all.

There needs to be a strong and clear message that killing innocent people, be they Muslims or non-Muslims, is a grave sin and is prohibited in the strongest terms in the Koran and in keeping with Mohammed’s deeds..
1st problem is the word ‘innocent’. What’s innocent to non-Muslims isn’t innocent to Muslims because Islam has it’s own laws, eg a Muslim converting to Christianity is guilty of apostasy for which the punishment is death under Sharia. Muhammad said ‘whoever leaves his religion, kill him’. No court is necessary to hear evidence and pronounce sentence, hence the proliferation of ‘honour killings’ both in Islamic countries and the West.
2nd problem is the Koran. I suggest that most of Saeed’s audience (The Australian readership) have not read it, so are unfamiliar with it’s contents, e.g. the instruction to ‘fight and slay the Pagans wherever ye find them, and seize them, beleaguer them, and lie in wait for them in every stratagem (of war)’ (Q 9.5). And this: ‘I will cast terror into the hearts of those who disbelieve. Therefore strike off their heads and strike off every fingertip of them’ (Q 8.12). It seems killing pagans & disbelievers (non-Muslims) is not prohibited at all in the Koran.
3rd problem: If any here don’t know anything about ‘Mohammed’s deeds’, I recommend The Sealed Nectar, an auto biography written by a Muslim, for Muslims, and which won a world-wide competition some 30 years ago. Ignorance is no excuse; be informed!

Of course Abdullah knows what Mohammed preached, he is just playing the usual games:
Islamic theology, both in the koran and the life of mohommad make it clear that infidels resisting the spread of islam, even simply by refusing to convert or live under it’s rule are NOT innocent.
1. the first duty for a Muslim is to Jihad
2. the whole world must be converted to Islam
3. fight the infidels with every strategem of war
4. terror made me victorious – strike at their necks
5. if anyone doesn’t fight, Allah will punish him
There are only good muslims and passive muslims.
The passive muslims are those who do not follow Mohammed’s teachings and wage violent Jihad against the unbelievers.
But passive muslims can be converted to good muslims by the hate preachers in the mosque.
Here’s a husband to a Muslim wife:
My wife is Muslim. I regularly attend Muslim weddings. The fundamentalist Muslims are always criticising their relatives and spoiling for a fight. Their wives are put down and forced to wear boring dresses that their culture doesn’t traditionally wear. Most of the Muslims are accepting of other cultures. White weddings. Dancing. etc.
This is not about multiculturalism. This is about a new ideology that has arisen within the last 10 years in Australia in the Muslim community.It is time that Muslims in Australia told their relatives where to go when they tell them that what to do in Australia … having just got off the plane from Fiji or India or Pakistan or Indonesia. I used to be polite to my wife’s relatives until I realised that most had the notion that Pakistan et al was the model for treatment of women in Australia.

what a load of nonsense !
What is there to ‘study’ in the koran and the other idiotic muslim books ?
You can go through it and pick out all the nasty bits but ‘study ‘ as in
find something useful to analyse , something to give you some help how to live , something philosophical about life ………..
Andrew Bolt is a great boon for Islam for while he writes some apparently strong stuff about Islam, he never actually blames Islam and always feeds us the ‘good muslim’ line. Hence he furthers the cause of Islam by making us think there is a nice Islam and as many trust Bolt, this is great cover for Islam.
What a load of trickery Saeed’s letter is! Innocent’s, koran teaches that all human beings must be respected…yet it’s actually full of abuse and hatred for others and this is only a tiny bit of the text as far more occurs in the horrible hadith and sira. The koran is hateful enough but Mohammad’s behavious detailed in further text is sexually sick, sadistic, vicious, intolerant, racist, genocidal and downright evil.
From Saeed’s comments we can see the lying for Islam that goes on in all our universities
Sadly, the only type of scholarship (and I use the word loosely) allowed in the humanities depts of our universities nowadays is lying for Islam.
Sociology, history, politics, international studies etc are all compromised.
