Cry of youth arouses the ancient hatred
(Why doesn’t this turd of a reporter tell us what ‘ancient hatred’ that might be?)
*
AN Israeli soldier walked through a throng of youths as they knelt in prayer on the Old City boundaries. It was just before 1pm and Friday prayers at al-Aqsa Mosque were winding up.
“There are provocateurs among you,” he said in Arabic. “Don’t let them inflame you.”
His plea went unanswered. A young Palestinian, one of thousands banned from entering the mosque yesterday, stood up to say: “Your mosque is calling you. Where are you all?”
He was pounced on by police. The crowd erupted. Stun grenades were thrown, rifles levelled and rubber bullets thudded into rioters who minutes before had been bowed in piety.
A battle over Jerusalem’s Old City was under way.

Latest update:
Jerusalem calm after day of clashes
JERUSALEM (AFP) – Calm has returned to Jerusalem’s streets a day after Palestinian demonstrators clashed with police over Israeli renovations near the revered Al-Aqsa mosque left 35 people wounded.
* You see, Jooozzz are Dhimmies in the Islamic state, a slave like condition that would force them to pay the Jiziyah, the Islamic protection racket with ‘willing submission while feeling themselves subdued’- Jews and Christians are not allowed to build places of worship in the Islamic state and existing churches or synagogues must not be repaired or restored. A Jewish state in the middle of greater Arabia where Jews have more power than Arabs is unthinkable, that’s why the state of Israel must be destroyed.*
“Things are calm and quiet now,” police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld told AFP Saturday. “Police are continuing the security measures in and around east Jerusalem and we’ll prevent any further riots or disturbances from taking place.”
The renovations which triggered the clashes near the Old City’s Dung Gate are scheduled to resume next week, having broken off for the Sabbath Jewish day of rest, Rosenfeld added.
Muslim leaders in Jerusalem, meanwhile, promised to continue their protests against the work to a stone ramp leading from Dung Gate to Al-Aqsa mosque compound, the site Jews call the Temple Mount and known as the Noble Sanctuary to Muslims.
“We have a full programme of protests for the coming weeks in order to stop the Israeli crimes against the Al-Aqsa mosque,” the third holiest place in Islam, said head of the Islamic movement in Israel, Sheikh Raed Salah.
Sure. They have a ‘full programme’ 24/7- its called J I H A DÂ
I think the Israelis should let it fall down.
Only one problem. If it does these morons will blame the Israelis for lack of maintenance as they are unable to take responsibility for anything, other than gloating over a terrorist attack.
It’s a no win situation.
