It’s OK to kill kids in battle: Catmeat Sidekick sez

Richard Kerbaj/The Australian

HE deputy spiritual leader of Sheik Taj Din al-Hilali has told his students that it is “obligatory” for all Muslims to engage in jihad if an Islamic country is under attack, even if it means killing the enemy’s children.

* Obviously, Beslan was no accident.

Unfortunately the good Sheik was not available for a photo-op, so we used the file photo…

Sheik Shady Suleiman, a youth leader at Lakemba Mosque in Sydney’s southeast, told his students in a one-hour Arabic and English lecture that it would be “self defence” to kill children who were attacking them in battle.

Muslim leaders yesterday attacked the 29-year-old cleric, who has a substantial following in Sydney, and accused him of delivering a message contrary to that of Prophet Mohammed who said children should not be killed in war. Prominent Sydney-based imam Khalil Shami said Sheik Shady’s message was “dangerous” because it was open to being misconstrued by young Muslims.

“It is very dangerous,” he said. “Because … he puts in their minds that they have to do this, and he prepares them for something wrong for sure.” The nation’s leading spiritual Muslim woman Aziza Abdel-Halim said Sheik Shady’s message diverged from Islamic teachings that prohibit the killing of children.

In a lecture titled Rulings on Performing Jihad, obtained by The Australian, Sheik Shady differentiates between defensive and offensive jihad and quotes the Prophet by saying anyone who fights to defend their land, soul, and wealth was considered a “Shahid” (martyr). “If attackers or invaders want to invade a Muslim country or attack a Muslim country then it’s obligatory on every Muslim … to fight and protect the country,” he says.

Sheik Shady says while the Prophet condemned the killing of children, “if they are involved then you have to stop them”.

* He didn’t say anything about shaheeds hiding behind women and children when they attack infidels?

“If you have a child carrying a knife and coming to you, or a sword and coming to kill you in the middle of the battle, they (the fighters) are going to look at him and say ‘the Prophet said not to touch him’ – no, that’s wrong.”

Sheik Shady, who is lecturing in Britain, yesterday defended his message on jihad, saying it was a part of a series of lectures delivered in 2002, before the Iraq war – and focused on the collection of the traditions of Mohammed – although a copy of the lecture appears on his website dated May 2004.

He said the lecture was delivered to 60 young men who were advanced in Islamic studies and would not take it out of context and was “not an open lecture”, despite being on his website.

* If caught, lie and deny. Standard procedure…

“When I said children, I did not mean, of course, if you’re going to get a five- or seven-year-old coming to attack you, you can stop him,” he said yesterday.

“I was talking about self-defence. If you get attacked by someone, then you have the right to defend yourself. It doesn’t mean you go kill them, especially if it’s someone young.”

* Muslims always claim ‘self-defence’- especially when they blow up women and children in Israel…

* Don’t you think its about time we should be defending ourselves?

Sheik Shady said that while it was obligatory for all Muslims to defend an Islamic nation under attack, there were no Muslim countries living under Sharia law that were currently under attack.

* No arrest warrant has yet been issued for Sheik Shady Sulaiman. Good name, by the way…

  1. Vote for whoever promises to do something about these creeps.
No one can claim ingnorance any more. They have exposed themselves for all to see. What is the goverment waiting for?
A signed confession? They have already said it all.

People who live near Lakemba have been saying this for ages.

Here is a post from a Lakemba resident, I stress – not my words:

“Having lived out here “IN DA HOOD” for 30 plus years, hearing something like this doesn’t even rate on my yawn meter.
People have been preaching, supporting and discussing these things in Australia for many years.
I have spoken to people from numerous backgrounds,political/religious persuasions.
I am only surprised that nothing to serious has happened here so far.
The posters you encounter, plastered on shop walls or telegraph poles, every now and then, would probably surprise people from outside of south western Sydney.
There are many people around this area, who’m support one particular cause or another.
No, their not all middle eastern or muslim.
There are certain political groups, who’m have aligned themselves with, certain militant groups.
There are some who’m openly flaunt there support for one particular faction or another.
Prior to the Haldon street Islamic book shop being closed(temporarily),due to it’s selling of literature supporting terrorism.
I used to walk along haldon street, from time to time.
The people from the book shop used to have a stall set up,on the other side of the road, selling their literature.
Who did I see with their own stall, standing side by side with the fellow from the islamic bookshop?
You guessed it! one of the Socialist organisations.
The Socialist lady seemed quite chuffed to be offering her support.
Some of the books would have been quite interesting to go through, if the Titles and Covers, were anything to go by.
Definately not what you are likely to find, down at your local Dymocks store.
The government knows that there are prayer halls around here preaching terrorism.
What did they do to fix the problem?
What any good democratic government would do.
They gave the organisation more finacial support,so they could renovate their building.
Thus, if the federal government, or the opposition rave on about the War on Terrorism, I simply have a laugh at the hypocracy.
Like the Bali bombings, moreso the first one, our government, had sufficient intel to act on,though they decided to do nothing.
I have been on trains(on the south western line) and also walking through Sydney(central, townhall,)when there have been Bomb scares.
Going by the way a few of those incidents were handled,I would hate to be in the vicinity of a major attack.
In one incident, the suspect item was actually brought to where the passengers, had alighted from the train, before being examined.
    Take care everyone.
    And Smooth Sailing. “

  2. This is why I favor wiping all jihadists regardless of age or gender. They obviously have no squeamishness about who they kill so why should we?
