Fitzgerald: Islam’s Trojan Horse, and what to do about it

trojan-horse.jpg

Misguided tolerance and the fifth column

Islam’s Trojan Horse is also to be seen in the Pentagon. There are within it American generals who have their Muslim aides. There are Saudi generals — you know, the kind who have never held a rifle in their lives, but are connected to the Al-Saud and thus to the arms buying that is the only way, or the easiest way, the Americans can think of to recycle those petrodollars.

The Trojan Horse can be seen in Congress, where Ellison (of Minnesota) and Meeks (of New York) and Eddie Johnson (of Texas) introduced and got passed a resolution to get the members of Congress to “commend” the world’s “1.5 billion” (!) Muslims for their celebration of Ramadan, phrasing the thing so that some Congressmen, if it came to a vote (it is now in committee) would undoubtedly simply sign it, thinking its easier to do so rather than not, and of course what’s the harm in praising, they will think, the “celebration of Ramadan”?

Muslim Scholars to Pope Benedict: Make Peace with Us, or the Survival of the World is at Stake

P 2:

The Muslim scholars’ letter to Pope Benedict is that it’s a veiled threat. Al-Reuters, of course, says it’s a call for peace.

2007_10_11t065546_450×285_us_religion_scholars.jpg
LONDON (Reuters) – More than 130 Muslim scholars from around the globe called on Thursday for peace and understanding between Islam and Christianity, saying “the very survival of the world itself is perhaps at stake.”

Robert Spencer looks at the Koran verses that aren’t mentioned in the letter at Jihad Watch.
The dog that didn’t bark, if you will.

Here’s the letter in PDF form. Read it for yourself, and you deserve a medal if you make it through this turgid mess of Koran quotes.

* Melanie Phillips ain’t buying any:

Britain thrilled by offer to submit or die

The open letter from 138 Muslim scholars to the Pope and the leaders of other Christian churches on the subject of peace between the faiths has got the British establishment purring with pleasure. The Archbishop of Canterbury and the Bishop of London have fallen on their knees and given thanks.

A Common Word Between Us and You is a Call for Conversion

This is not the first time that some Muslim leaders have misrepresented the Quran to the West. Since 9/11 we have often been told that Quran says that if anyone killed one person, it would be as if he killed all of humanity. But that’s not quite what 5:35 of the Quran says. It is qualified by saying that this is so, “unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land.” The verse immediately following that says that “those who wage war against Allah and His Apostle, and strive with might and main for mischief through the land” must be punished with “execution, or crucifixion, or the cutting off of hands and feet from opposite sides, or exile from the land.”

Here are (some of) the missing links:

“9:29 Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, nor hold that forbidden which hath been forbidden by Allah and His Apostle, nor acknowledge the religion of Truth, (even if they are) of the People of the Book, until they pay the Jizya with willing submission, and feel themselves subdued. ”
“9:30 The Jews call ‘Uzair a son of Allah, and the Christians call Christ the son of Allah. That is a saying from their mouth; (in this) they but imitate what the unbelievers of old used to say. Allah’s curse be on them: how they are deluded away from the Truth!”

9:111 Allah hath purchased of the believers their persons and their goods; for theirs (in return) is the garden (of Paradise): they fight in His cause, and slay and are slain: a promise binding on Him in truth, through the Law, the Gospel, and the Qur’an: and who is more faithful to his covenant than Allah? then rejoice in the bargain which ye have concluded: that is the achievement supreme.

Andrew Bostom reviews Diana West’s superb new book in The Washington Times.

Jihad — as sanctioned by Islam’s core texts, the Koran, hadith and sira, and actualized by the Muslim prophet Muhammad himself — is the eternal, aggressive quest for totalitarian Islamic hegemony, i.e., the imposition of Islamic law, over the entire world, including via terrorism and genocide.

Quotes by Ayatollah Khomeini:

“Allah did not create man so that he could have fun. The aim of creation was for mankind to be put to the test through hardship and prayer. An Islamic regime must be serious in every field. There are no jokes in Islam. There is no humor in Islam. There is no fun in Islam. There can be no fun and joy in whatever is serious. “

* Nothing exposed the Arab mindset more than the following:

“When the Al Qaeda leader did what he did [on 11/09/01], polls in the Arab region showed he had the support of 85% of the population” – Abd Al-Hamid Al-Ansari, former dean of Islamic law, Qatar University, 22/07/04.

* So, from the above, it is hardly a handful of extremists we are up against. It is the lions’ share of a religion.

Pope Benedict Arnold I was quick to jump on the (religion of) peace train:

He also pointed out that in this troubled time, believers in the world should be servants toward working to achieving global peace.

  2. * The Muslim scholars’ letter to Pope Benedict is that it’s a veiled threat.

I’m still chewing on this bone, and pondering if it is an Islamic initiative, or a response to an earlier Vatican initiative, urging Muslims to “work for peace”. If it is a response to the Vatican, I’d be keeping a close eye on Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran.

    * Vatican Urges Muslims to Work for Peace

    By NICOLE WINFIELD – Sep 28, 2007

VATICAN CITY (AP) — The Vatican on Friday urged Muslims to reject violence, work with Christians for peace and to teach their children to love and respect all people and not become “cultural or religious blocs opposed to one another.”

The Vatican’s top official in charge of relations with Muslims, Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran, issued the traditional message to Muslims to mark the end of the holy month of Ramadan.

In it, he urged Muslims to enter into a dialogue with Christians to “help us to escape from the endless spiral of conflict and multiple tensions which mark our societies.” […]

    Holy See welcomes Islamic initiative

Vatican, Oct. 12, 2007 (CWNews.com) – The president of the Pontifical Council for Inter-Religious Dialogue responded cautiously to a public statement from moderate Islamic leaders, saying that it was “a very interesting letter,” representing “a very encouraging sign” for dialogue between Christians and Muslims.

Cardinal Jean-Louis Tauran voiced his appreciation for the “non-polemical document” prepared by 138 Muslim leaders from around the world. […]

  3. The way that Muslim populations are increasing in the West, there is just one way to stop the Islamisation of the West – that is to stop and then reverse Moslem immigration.

But here is the crucial verse from the letter that has not been understood

As Muslims, we say to Christians that we are not against them and that Islam is not against them—so long as they do not wage war against Muslims on account of their religion, oppress them and drive them out of their homes, (in accordance with the verse of the Holy Qur’an [Al-Mumtahinah, 60:8] quoted above).

What Moslems are asking Christians to do, with global war as a threat, is to oppose any attempt to the one thing that will preserve our civilisation.

  4. DP111 is quite right, the speaking in riddles is designed to pacify then at the same time turn on any who mistook the true meaning. Bytheir own law, Sharia and the first pillar of their faith, that there is but one god, one ruler, they can not beaccepted into any foreign land without imminent unrest due to the accusation that they are being oppressed for their religion. No soverign land can have two laws, two leaders or two allegiances.

    Its called Bait and Switch.
