An Iranian MP says the Netherlands will face widespread protests if it gives the green light to the screening of an anti-Islam movie.
* Remember: these are the same creeps who respect nothing, not the sanctity of an embassy, not the lives of dissidents, not women, they hang homosexuals and young girls from cranes, and they just made a blasphemous movie about Jesus Christ that should bring out the Christians rioting. (But strangely, we never see that)
Head of the Majlis National Security and Foreign Policy Commission Alaeddin Boroujerdi said that the Iranian nation would react to any insult to Islam.
The senior Iranian lawmaker added that Muslims will not tolerate any insult to Islam.
A Dutch MP announced in November that he plans to make a 10-minute film which would reflect his insulting views about the Holy Qur’an.
THE Dutch are debating the limits of freedom of expression after an artist who photographed gay men wearing masks of the prophet Mohammed was forced into hiding and her work removed from a museum exhibit.
Speaking on the telephone from an unspecified location in The Netherlands last week, the artist, an Iranian exile who goes by the pseudonym of Sooreh Hera, said she had been threatened with execution. She accused the director of the municipal museum in The Hague of cowardice for caving in to Muslim extremists.
Mumbai, Jan 19: The State Minority Commission has sent a letter to the Centre asking to refuse visa to controversial author Salman Rushdie and Bangladeshi writer Taslima Nasreen as they have hurt Muslim sentiments.
“They have hurt the feelings of Muslim community. We do not want them to stay in India and create law and order problem,” chairman of the Commission, Mohammed Naseem Siddiqui said.
* Inverted reality: Muslims threaten violence because they don’t like critcism, and blame ‘the other’…
“These writers are anti-social elements and disturbing peace in the society. We condemn their stay in India,” Siddiqui said.
Over 200 political activists protested author Salman Rushdie’s stay in Mumbai and burnt his effigy recently. Religious leaders said earlier Rushdie’s novel “The Satanic Verses” (1988) had evoked condemnation from the entire Islamic world.
Taslima Nasreen has been forced to stay away from West Bengal as threats from Muslim fundamentalists continue.
Siddiqui also said that the action should be taken against painter M F Husain for painting Hindu Gods and Goddesses in nude.
* Right. Its almost as if Muslims cared about Hindu’s, which they otherwise despise as ‘cow-worshipers’- but you never know: some fool might swallow it and hop along for the ride, censorship is such a tempting thing…
