It gets better by the day: "It Is Allowed to Marry a Girl at the Age of One"

*  I had many discussions with Muhammedans, both men and women,  who lied and denied in spite of the hadith (the accompanying scriptures to the Koran) that clearly state that Aisha, Muhammads child-bride,  was 6 when he married her and 9 ‘when he consummated the marriage’. it is therefore refreshing  to see that highly respected Saudi clerics come out to confirm this pedophilia, but not only that: they are trying to sell it as an absolutely perfect model of conduct, because the pedophile prophet could do no wrong in the eyes of the believers.

This aired on LBC TV (Lebanon) - June 19, 2008 . Here we have Dr. Ahmad Al-Mub’i, a Saudi Marriage Officiant: It Is Allowed to Marry a Girl at the Age of One, If Sex Is postponed. The Prophet Muhammad, Whose Model We Follow, Married ‘Aisha When She Was Six and Had Sex with Her When She Was Nine :
Following are excerpts from an interview with Dr. Ahmad Al-Mu’bi, a Saudi marriage officiant, which aired on LBC TV on June 19, 2008: Watch the video here:

YIKES, LOCK UP YER BABIES!

Following are excerpts from an interview with Dr. Ahmad Al-Mu’bi, a Saudi marriage officiant, which aired on LBC TV on June 19, 2008:

Dr. Ahmad Al-Mu’bi: Marriage is actually two things: First we are talking about the marriage contract itself. This is one thing, while consummating the marriage – having sex with the wife for the first time – is another thing. There is no minimal age for entering marriage. You can have a marriage contract even with a one-year-old girl, not to mention a girl of nine, seven, or eight. This is merely a contract [indicating] consent. The guardian in such a case must be the father, because the father’s opinion is obligatory. Thus, the girl becomes a wife… But is the girl ready for sex or not? What is the appropriate age for having sex for the first time? This varies according to environment and traditions. In Yemen, girls are married off at nine, ten, eleven, eight, or thirteen, while in other countries, they are married off at 16. Some countries have legislated laws forbidding having sex before the girl is eighteen.

The Prophet Muhammad is the model we follow. He took ‘Aisha to be his wife when she was six, but he had sex with her only when she was nine.

Interviewer: When she was six…

Dr. Ahmad Al-Mu’bi: He married her at the age of six, and he consummated the marriage, by having sex with her for the first time, when she was nine. We consider the Prophet Muhammad to be our model.

Interviewer: My question to you is whether the marriage of a 12-year-old boy with an 11-year-old girl is a logical marriage, which is permitted by Islamic law.

Dr. Ahmad Al-Mu’bi: If the guardian is the father… There are two different types of guardianship. If the guardian is the father, and he marries his daughter off to a man of appropriate standing, the marriage is obviously valid.

[…]

People find themselves in all kinds of circumstances. Take, for example, a man who has two, three, or four daughters. He does not have any wives, but he needs to go on a trip. Isn’t it better to marry his daughter to a man, who will protect and sustain her, and when she reaches the proper age, he will have sex with her? Who says all men are ferocious wolves?

Who indeed?

Robert Spencer comments:

Over the years I’ve gotten a great deal of abuse for telling the truth about Islam and jihad here, but probably more for pointing out that Islamic tradition says that Muhammad married Aisha when she was six and consummated the marriage when she was nine, and that he is exemplary in this for Islamic law, than for anything else. See, to take just one of many examples, here. Of course, the righteous indignation over my alleged misrepresentation of this issue is simply another manifestation of the general deceptive smokescreen that Islamic supremacists deploy in the West.

But this MEMRI clip proves the only point I have ever wanted to make about this issue: that Muhammad’s example in this has been taken and is still taken as worthy of imitation.

What ever will the apologists think of this?
You know…the ones who claim the hadith is slightly wrong about the age of Aisha. They like to calculate her age as about 16. Where they get that is a mystery. It is pretty plain:
There are a number of sources, all written by Muslims, that detail Muhammad’s marriage and consummation with his young child-bride – Aisha. FROM THE HADITH OF SAHIH BUKHARI I have used Bukhari’s Hadith, translated into English by Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan, at the Islamic University in Medina. Bukhari’s Hadith is considered authentic by the majority of Sunni Islamic scholars. It is second to the Quran in terms of importance. The central figure to approve and sign the translation is Dr. Amin Al-Masri, Ph.D. Cambridge University. He is the Advisor and Head of the Sharia Dept., at the College of Sharia and Islamic Studies in Mecca. From Bukhari vol. 7, #65: “Narrated Aisha that the prophet wrote the marriage contract with her when she was six years old and he consummated his marriage when she was nine years old. Hisham said: “I have been informed that Aisha remained with the prophet for nine years (i.e. till his death).”” Bukhari vol. 7, #88: “Narrated Urwa: “The prophet wrote the (marriage contract) with Aisha while she was six years old and consummated his marriage with her while she was nine years old and she remained with him for nine years (i.e. till his death).”” Bukhari vol. 5, #234 says: “Narrated Aisha: The prophet engaged me when I was a girl of six. We went to Medina and stayed at the home of Harith Kharzraj. Then I got ill and my hair fell down. Later on my hair grew (again) and my mother, Um Ruman, came to me while I was playing in a swing with some of my girl friends. She called me, and I went to her, not knowing what she wanted to do to me. She caught me by the hand and made me stand at the door of the house. I was breathless then, and when my breathing became all right, she took some water and rubbed my face and head with it. Then she took me into the house. There in the house I saw some Ansari women who said, “Best wishes and Allah’s blessing and a good luck.” Then she entrusted me to them and they prepared me (for the marriage). Unexpectedly Allah’s messenger came to me in the forenoon and my mother handed me over to him, and at that time I was a girl of nine years of age.” FROM THE HADITH OF SAHIH MUSLIM VOLUME 2, #3309 FROM THE HADITH OF THE SUNAN OF ABU DAWUD Abu Dawud’s Hadith is the third most respected Hadith in Islam. From Abu Dawud, Vol. 2, #2116: “Aisha said, “The Apostle of Allah married me when I was seven years old.” (The narrator Sulaiman said: “Or six years.”). “He had intercourse with me when I was 9 years old.” FROM THE HISTORY OF TABARI Tabari wrote the most authentic Islamic history. It covers 39 volumes. Tabari was one of the greatest Islamic scholars and the greatest Islamic Historian. From Tabari, volume 7, page7: “….my marriage (to Muhammad) was consummated when I was nine…..” From Tabari, volume 9, page 131 “Then the men and women got up and left. The Messenger of God consummated his marriage with me in my house when I was nine years old. Neither a camel nor a sheep was slaughtered on behalf of me”……(The Prophet) married her three years before the Emigration, when she was seven years old and consummated the marriage when she was nine years old, after he had emigrated to Medina in Shawwal. She was eighteen years old when he died. NOTE FROM SAHIH MUSLIM Sahih Muslim, #5981 says that Aisha was so young that she played with her dolls in her house with her friends.

Setting a minimum marriage age “has been a proposal since 2000, but the Yemeni parliament’s Islamic Sharia Codification Committee has not yet presented the amendments to parliament for discussion”

Hmm. Why might that be? As usual, any mention of Muhammad’s example as a cause of resistance to any minimum marriage age is distinctly absent. “Yemen: Government body calls for end to child marriage,” from IRIN, August 3:

SANAA, 3 August 2008 (IRIN) – The National Women’s Committee (NWC), a government body, has called for an end to child marriage, – common in rural areas – by proposing a minimum legal age for marriage.

Horiah Mash-hor, deputy head of the NWC, said the NWC had reviewed Article 15 of the Personal Status Law, and proposed setting the minimum marriage age at 18.

The NWC also proposed introducing punishments – a one-year jail sentence or a 100,000 riyal [US$ 500] fine – for those who marry off youngsters below this age.

“[Setting the minimum marriage age at 18] has been a proposal since 2000, but the Yemeni parliament’s Islamic Sharia Codification Committee has not yet presented the amendments to parliament for discussion,” she told IRIN.

She said the 1994 Personal Status Law set the minimum marriage age at 15.“But amendments to the law in 1999 made it unclear, and the law now fails to mention an exact [minimum] age for marriage. It only authorises the girl’s guardian to decide whether she is physically and psychologically prepared for marriage,” she said. […]

The NWC has appealed to President Ali Abdullah Saleh and parliament to present the proposed law to parliament for discussion. “But there are extreme groups in society and in parliament which are against amending the law,” she said.

According to a 2007 report issued by the International Centre for Research on Women (ICRW), Yemen ranked 13 out of the 20 worst countries in terms of the prevalence of child marriage, with 48.4 percent of women under 18 being married. […]

According to an unpublished 2007 study on early marriage by Sanaa University’s Gender Development Research and Study Centre, religious, tribal and community leaders were against the idea of setting a legal minimum marriage age, saying it would contradict Islamic precepts.

Which precepts? Inquiring journalists should want to know.

  1. Right from the horse’s mouth, so to speak. If an infidel made the same statement about Mo and Aisha, we’d be quoting the koran out of context, at the least.

Wolves are the most wonderful, social animals, loving to each other and especially to their young. Everything, in fact, that muslims are not. Wolves do not senselessly, needlessly kill. They kill to eat.

Calling muslim men wolves is an insult to these magnificent animals.

  2. Now why would anyone be figmentalist (i.e. “islamophobic”) after hearing something like this?

  3. IMO, no man has ever created a more anti-mankind piece of asswipe material than the koran. I have 1 daughter and 2 granddaughters, and I WILL KILL to keep that vile filth away from them.

  4. Why do we allow, people with these kind of beliefs, live in our society.
When I listen to this man, it makes me sick to my stomach. What else is on their agenda.
    These people have NO morals.
