Honor Killing Updates

 Nothing to do with Islam, of course! Islam ‘elevates’ women:

*  Son strangles mother and later chops her body in pieces on suspicion of “bad character”

*  Jordan: father repeatedly stabs daughter, crushes her head with rock

*  Pakistan: 90 honor killings reported in first quarter of 2008

*  Afghanistan: Self-immolation on the rise among women/because of the ‘glass ceiling’, no doubt!

* ‘Man’ cuts off wife’s foot in Pakistan

*  Teacher’s ears cut off as ‘punishment’

*  Pregnant girl burnt alive by husband

    Most are not reported – what is reported is quite literally only the tip of the iceberg.
