A Muslim’s idea of a reasoned debate:

An ACT! for America chapter leader recently had a running email correspondence with an American Muslim. The catalyst for this correspondence was a private email the chapter leader sent to a third party, which was then forwarded to a number of Muslims. 

The initial email was intended to educate the recipient as to what the Qur’an, Hadith (sayings and traditions of Mohammed), and works by various Islamic scholars, say with respect to issues such as Jihad, treatment of non-Muslims, and treatment of women. The chapter leader quoted texts from the two holy books of Islam, as well as the writings of the various Islamic scholars. 

What follows is the email correspondence between this chapter leader and the American Muslim. Each specific email is enclosed in quotations and the text has been copied and pasted from the original emails in the exact typefaces and fonts the emails were written. No names or places are mentioned to protect the identities of both. What you will find is an illuminating, frightening window into the worldview and perspective of one American Muslim. 

What you will also find in the tone, tenor and construction of the chapter leader’s emails, is a model for our members to follow when communicating with others about this issue. The contrast between the calm and reasoned emails from the chapter leader and the ranting, hateful nature of the emails from the Muslim could not be more stark. 

At certain places we have inserted commentary in brackets and in bold red type.

The United States government has rejected his bid for permanent U.S. residency, saying Qatanani failed to disclose a 1993 arrest and conviction in Israel for being a member of Hamas on his green card application. Qatanani denies the charges.

* For months, noisy mobs of Muhammedans tried to intimidate and blackmail judge and jurors into letting this convicted Hamas terrorist and his clan to stay in the US. A moonbat judge gave in, but as they say: its not over till the fat lady sings. There is still hope that this jihadist will be evicted in the next round.

The Adelaide Magistrates Court today banned publication of the image of Soniard Mrishaj,(an Albanian Muslim) whom prosecutors allege injured one man and almost shot two others during the early-morning gunfight on Sunday morning.

Testing Rudd’s red carpet?

The Rudd Government, to prove it’s nice, weakens the laws on illegal immigrants. I think some people smugglers, put out of business by the Howard Government, may have got the message:

A SECOND group of suspected Middle Eastern refugees has arrived in Australian waters and is being transported to Christmas Island for processing.

A spokesman for Immigration Minister Chris Evans tonight said 17 people, including three crew, had arrived at an offshore storage facility in the Timor Sea off the north-west coast of Western Australia.

But let’s not jump to conclusions just yet:

Senator Evans said it was the second unauthorised boat arrival in Australian waters this year; there were five cases last year.

What may have been the invitation:

In late July, Senator Evans unveiled a new “risk-based” approach to immigration detention and expanded review arrangements for people who lodge claims outside Australia’s migration zone. Under the changes, detainees on Christmas Island can expect access to taxpayer-funded migration agents’ advice should they lodge an asylum claim.

If their claims are unsuccessful, they will have access to an independent review of their decision.
