More reactions to BEEN DEAD:
The Daily Telegraph farewells Osama bin Laden:
For a believer in martyrdom, it sure took him long enough.
Osama bin Laden’s son, wife, also reported killed during raid in Pakistan
The US raid that killed al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden also resulted in the death of his wife and son, US officials said during a White House press briefing today.
THE director of the Forum on Australia’s Islamic Relations (FAIR) has labelled US celebrations over the death Osama Bin Laden “disgusting” and called on people to be more reserved.
What absurdity: this non-Muslim Muslim leader whom all Muslims despised is going to be the cause for their rioting? Pamela Geller observes: “But Obama said Osama bin Laden was ‘not a Muslim leader.’ So why are Muslims in a lather? If he doesn’t represent Islam, why would Muslims go jihad? Such stupidity has no precedent.” Indeed.

Jerusalem: Muslims riot over bin Laden’s death
But…but…I thought bin Laden was not a Muslim leader, and represented only a Tiny Minority of Extremists. Shouldn’t these Muslims be dancing in the streets and passing out candy because the great Hijacker of the Religion of Peace is dead?
“Arabs Riot in Jerusalem Over Bin Laden’s Demise, Hamas Angry,” by Hillel Fendel forIsrael National News, May 2 (thanks to JW):
Arabs in the village of Silwan, adjacent to the City of David neighborhood in Jerusalem, rioted Monday night in protest over the elimination of Osama Bin-Laden. The rioters were throwing stones at police and attempting to block roads…
Paki security forces protected Osama bin Laden for 10 years
No surprise here. “WikiLeaks: Osama bin Laden ‘protected’ by Pakistani security,” by Tim Ross in the Telegraph, May 2
Pakistan kept in dark until last minute on Osama operation
No wonder. “Pak kept in dark till last minute on Osama operation,” from Express India, May 2

No doubt this will result in MORE money being poured into Pakistan by the US, just to continue to keep them sweet and cooperative.
Leon Panetta will soon become the US Secretary of Defense; a Greenpeace type
will head the world’s strongest military machine.
Gen. Petraeus will lead the CIA. This reflects a new paradigm: wars conducted by
drones instead of soldiers. Too indecisive for proper military action, yet too
imperially-minded to avoid foreign incursions, US presidents increasingly opt
for undeclared proxy wars. Petraeus lost the war in Afghanistan. He achieved a
temporary victory in Iraq because of three factors: Iran scaled down its
involvement in Iraq to let the Americans go, Maliki proved a more savage ruler
than Saddam, and tribal chiefs gladly accepted bribes to get rid of the hated Al
Qaeda. Such luck will not be available in Yemen, Sudan, Sinai or other places of
interest to the CIA in our region.
Obama traded Mubarak for Erdogan, the new lynchpin of America’s Middle East
policy. The differences are glaring: unlike Mubarak, Erdogan is a talkative
type. He is weak, silly, and Islamist. Erdogan shares with Obama the fundamental
leftist notion that every political problem can be mediated. For decades, the
United States served as an international arbiter. Now Erdogan is trying
unsuccessfully to develop Turkey into a regional mediator: Israel-Syria,
Saudi-Syria, West-Iran, etc. Shamefully, Netanyahu has joined the empty
Obama-Erdogan alliance.
Obama mildly criticized Assad and mostly ignored the ayatollahs when they
engaged in bloody repressions. But he tried to assassinate Gadhafi who was
helping the West to fight Al Qaeda groups in Africa. Obama accepted the loss of
America’s strategic alliance with Saudi Arabia and gave the green light to its
nuclearization.
Obama’s actions, we believe, are guided by the leftist urge to create a blank
slate on which to create a shining new world. Ever since the Iranian revolution
and the advent of Palestinian terrorism, leftists have supported the Muslim
cause because Islamists were also bent on destroying the current political
order.
