Its a worry  that only 11% realize that Obama is a Muslim. Its even more disturbing that 34% still believe he is some kind of “Christian” and 44% are still undecided.  But when Fox talking head Bill O’Reilly cannot even get himself  to call Obama a ‘socialist’ 3 1/2 Years into America’s most disastrous presidency you know that we have a huge problem on our hands:

The Leftist media just can’t figure out why people would think Barack Hussein Obama is a Muslim. They think, as this witless article in Slate shows, that it must be because of his name, or his race. It never occurs to them, or they deliberately wish to obfuscate the fact, that Obama has repeatedly reinforced this impression throughout his presidency. Whether he is a Muslim or not, he has acted favorably toward Islam and Islamic supremacism from the day he took office. Pamela Geller included a lengthy but still partial list of the many ways he has done so in an article she wrote in June 2010:
- March 2009: Obama declares the “war on terror” is over, despite a dramatic increase in jihad war ops.
- March 2009: he floats the idea that he will talk to violent, genocidal Hamas.

Obama is a Christian and has labeled himself as such as in his writings and interviews, and while living in Chicago he attended the Trinity United Church of Christ. Since moving into the White House, Obama has attended several different Christian churches….

There are at least another thousand items to quote that would identify the Islamic leanings of Obama, but I’m afraid reason, common sense and self-doubt don’t apply when dealing with fanatical ‘atheists’ who are obsessed with their ‘non-belief’ dogma.
Seeing that she is one of the most respected right wight commentators in the US I’d probably value her opinion more than yours.
Matt Taylor doesn’t consider for a moment that Obama might be a liar? Goodness…if it was Bush he was writing about, I am sure he would have entertained such a suspicion. Then again, Obama is black, so I guess he can’t be a liar…
To “atheist”: I have met many atheists who respect one religion only: Islam. It is fascinating to watch them cringe and debase themselves in front of Muslims.
By the way, a logical response to bad behaviour of religious people is not to jettison religion itself; a more logical reaction would be to criticise such people’s hypocrisy or weakness, not the religion itself.

Great point. I would believe and respect the atheist groups if they distributed their criticism to ‘all’ religious groups in an equitable manner not just aiming at the Christians during the Christmas holiday. Who seem to make Christians their only choice of attack with major campaigns.
When I start seeing atheist mocking Eid in a campaign during the Eid holiday season then I’ll take the atheist seriously. Otherwise, it makes the atheist appear disingenuous and insincere.

The names you have mentioned are people who have bravely spoken out against Islam, but it is not a strong enough defesne and the list is not that endless, as the MSM media have on various levels called all of these people racist or bigots, at some point. But, when some of the same individuals (like Hitchens) or others criticize Christianity as aethist, the very same MSM defend the critics viewpoint as freedom of speech, or an enlightened world view. That hypocrisy is the problem.
There are a plethora of atheist groups out there who buy air time, radio & print ads (on buses) belittling the Christian holiday season every year. These same groups are silent on other religions, especially Islam. They can denounce the fundamentalism found in Christianity, but not Islam? It makes it hard for anyone to give them respect when they are so narrow with their criticisms.

an atheist is someone who does not believe in god, any god. that does not mean that atheists don´t indulge in ideology: all kinds of ideology. there are enlightened atheists who believe in the right of others to have a religion; and there are atheists who would deny that right. at this point in time every person who can see the danger of islam and it´s protectors– i.e. Obama et all–, needs to be united: christians, jews, buddhists, hindus,atheists and even satanists, all need to stand against islam.
Atheists, like homosexuals, are but a tiny minority in most places in the world. But if left unchecked, they become increasingly noisy, unhinged and obnoxious at that.
As the saying goes, there are no atheists in foxholes, and the argument that we are mere matter, carbon which came out of nothing without a purpose is as redundant as the argument about the chicken and the egg.
In most cases their atheism is comprised of Chistophobia, Judeophobia, a hatred or dislike of their own race, culture and civilisation. Atheism is seldom more than a childish form of wishful thinking. It is the rejection of a higher authority, a rejection that takes on an obsessive desire for remodelling society, one that can only be described as utopian, extremely intolerant and dictatorial.
Atheists believe that government can or should replace GOD, which is something that absolutely horrifies me.
I believe in GOD-given rights, and for that reason I reject any totalitarian allures by men (or women) who are just too dumb to rule over me, to dictate how I should live my life, how much I should be allowed to consume, smoke, eat or drink, how much salt-intake I am allowed and that I should march in lockstep with them. Atheism is the ugly twin of communism, of modern day leftism, of totalitarian government or big brother interference.
