Over at Gatestone (via RaymondIbrahim.com) I document how, days before Egypt’s presidential elections, Islamists expressed shock and dismay that the nation’s Christian Copts were not voting for the Brotherhood candidate, and went on to try to convince the Copts that the best thing for them is to live under Sharia. An excerpt follows:

[…] Abu Ismail, the Salafi presidential candidate who was disqualified, expressed “great disappointment” in “our Coptic brethren,” saying that “I do not understand why the Copts so adamantly voted for Ahmed Shafiq,” portraying it as some sort of conspiracy between the Copts, the old regime, and even Israel: “Exactly what relationship and benefit do the Copts have with the old regime?”

 

Tarek al-Zomor, a prominent figure of the Gama’a al-Islamiyya—the terrorist organization that slaughtered some 60 European tourists during the Luxor Massacre—”demanded an apology from the Copts” for voting for Shafiq, threatening that “this was a fatal error.”

Considering that this country was settled by pilgrims escaping persecution for their religious beliefs, it is unsurprising that the very first amendment to the Constitution was intended to defend our right to religious freedom. Considering that everything they think and do is perverse, it is equally unsurprising that progressives use that same First Amendment as a pretext to suppress the very mention of Jesus Christ.

Volunteer chaplains in North Carolina’s Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department have been told not to use Jesus’ name in prayers at public events held on government property.

Pastor Terry Sartain of Horizon Christian Fellowship told FOX News Radio he was informed of the change by his superior major just before he was about to give a invocation at a promotion ceremony. …

He told the news station that he was informed the police department said he could still pray but they wanted chaplains to deliver a ‘secular prayer.’

A “secular prayer.” You know, like dry water.

Just as he feared, a flawed election followed in 1980 under the auspices of a Thatcher-led British government. Robert Mugabe and his criminal cabal, poorly disguised as Freedom Fighters, assumed power and a catastrophe began to unfold.

But just as in Rhodesia, that minority dares not voice its displeasure at this development for fear of being condemned to the special dungeons reserved for those committing the cardinal sin of“racism.”

And they can be sure of this punishment because of the mainstream media, which so cunningly manipulates the minds of the millions of simpletons who have the vote and therefore the power to elect those who will serve their destructive purpose.

Explosives found near Swedish nuke plant

SWEDEN (AP) has raised the security level at its nuclear power plants after explosives were found on a truck at the southwestern Ringhals atomic power station.

The government forensic agency says the “explosive materials,” which had no igniting device, were found in a routine check today at an industrial site near the power plant.

Police spokesman Tommy Nyman said they were investigating possible sabotage but had no suspects.

Sweden has 10 nuclear reactors providing about half of the country’s electricity. Four reactors are at Ringhals, which is controlled by energy companies Vattenfall and E.ON.   (Islam is a crock)

The last member of the 2002 Bali bombing plot to face justice has been sentenced to 20 years in prison after a panel of judges found him guilty of mass murder for his role in Indonesia’s deadliest terrorist attack. (9News)

Umar Patek, who spent almost 10 years on the run as one of South-East Asia’s most wanted, was on Thursday found guilty of conspiracy to commit terrorism and harbouring information about terrorism.

But more significantly, the 45-year-old was also sentenced on Thursday in relation to his role in building the explosive devices used in the bombing of two nightclubs in Bali’s popular holiday area of Kuta almost a decade ago.
