Today, according to the White House pool report, President Obama told Jon Stewart during a Comedy Central Daily Show taping that the deaths of our ambassador to Libya and three other Americans were “not optimal.” This comes just weeks after President Obama told CBS News’ Steve Kroft on 60 Minutes that the murders of four Americans in Benghazi were  “bumps in the road.”

By way of contrast, President Obama described the YouTube video “The Innocence of Muslims,” which had nothing to do with the Benghazi attacks, as “crude and disgusting,” an “insult,” and said that its message “must be rejected by all who respect our common humanity.”

 To reiterate: deaths of Americans are “not optimal,” and “bumps in the road.” A YouTube video is “bigotry,” “blasphemy,” “crude and disgusting,” an “insult,” and inhuman.

The U.S. embassy had put out a statement earlier on Tuesday condemning “misguided individuals” who hurt the religious feelings of Muslims or followers of other religions.

And it is now being reported it was behind the attack on our consulate and Ambassador Stevens as well.

Instead of Obama protecting this great nation and informing the American people of this act of war, he lied and blamed America and our most basic freedom — freedom of speech. There was no anti-freedom of speech protest at the Libyan consulate as Obama and his quislings (Hillary Clinton, Susan Rice, Jay Carney, Joe Biden et al)  have told us so many times. The Obama adminstration spent $75,000 on ads apologizing for our free speech rights in, of all places, Pakistan.


The left is already saying that the “not optimal” quote has been taken out of context; they were saying that Stewart used the word “optimal” first. The problem: it’s far worse in context. Stewart said that the White House response was “not the optimal response.” Obama responded not by tackling the White House response, but by calling the murders “not optimal.”

Because I would say, even you would admit, it was not the optimal response, at least to the American people, as far as all of us being on the same page.”

And what happens, during the course of a presidency, is that the government is a big operation and any given time something screws up. And you make sure that you find out what’s broken and you fix it. Whatever else I have done throughout the course of my presidency the one thing that I’ve been absolutely clear about is that America’s security comes, and the American people need to know exactly how I make decisions when it comes to war, peace, security, and protecting Americans. And they will continue to get that over the next four years of my presidency.”

    Ask any sane person in America whether it would be a good idea to send our ambassador in Libya to Benghazi without a security team. They’d tell you immediately that we need security around our ambassador in a hellhole like Benghazi. Obama knew that. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton knew that.

    But they didn’t care. They thought it was far more important to make nice with the native population than to keep our ambassador safe. They thought that the Arab Spring was a nice, happy little uprising, complete with gay bodyguards to apply to protect the ambassador. Really. An ad placed in Libya — Libya! — for the ambassador’s security team made it clear that members of a same-sex marriage would be accepted.

    No gay men applied. But the Libyan security team did tell the terrorist mob just where to find the ambassador. And now he’s dead.

  10. ovomit and all politicians, media, academia, and even too many of our religious leaders offend me when they tell me that there is a moderate islam. They cannot tell the difference between moslems who are bad moslems and good moslems. They have not a clue about islamic deception so think when they get their butts kissed by deception, they then will tell us that islam is ok and make as many excuses as moslems do for the islamic violence.
