Russia, look out: here comes KRudd!

My Kruddness! here comes Kevni, our self-appointed envoy:

Labor leader Bill Shorten said he couldn’t shed any light on Mr Rudd’s trip. Neither can we, dear readers. But one thing we know: knowing KRudd, we can assure you that you, the taxpayer, is footing the bill for KRudd’s mission.

Former prime minister Kevin Rudd has dispatched himself on a one-man peace mission to Moscow as all-out war looms between Russia and Ukraine.

The West Australian can reveal that Mr Rudd arrived in the Russian capital on Monday with plans to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin’s top advisers.

It is also believed that Mr Rudd plans to go to the Ukrainian capital of Kiev this month to attend a “conference”, although senior Australian diplomatic officials are baffled, saying they are unaware of any major event scheduled in the battle-scarred city.

KEVIN Rudd has always said he’s “here to help” — and now he’s flown to Russia as the threat of war continues to raise tensions with Ukraine.

Australia’s former prime minister has arrived in Moscow and is understood to be in Red Square, according to Sydney radio station 2GB.

He has plans to meet Russian President Vladimir Putin’s top advisers, The West Australian reports.

It is understood that diplomats suspect he may be trying to “deal himself” into the crisis as a self-appointed special envoy.
