Jacinta Allen on @3AW693 this morning discussing the Pro Palestine protestors who are planning to “Crash the Myer windows” this weekend, which has caused Myer to cancel their almost 70 YEAR TRADITION of the grand opening. She says people have a right to protest. This is considerably different to the “rights” given to anti lockdown protestors in 2021/2022.
Dan Andrews dictated to @VictoriaPolice with regards to the protest response during Covid, while Jacinta Allen is having no such conversation with Police Command over this event. One must ask why? She could simply ask Victoria Police to block Bourke St so that the protestors do no go down into the mall, to keep the children and parents that wish to attend the Myer windows clear of rabid protestors, and let the rabid protestors do their thing elsewhere.
Is the reason she is failing to do so, because she is respecting the seperation of powers? Or is the reason that we consistently see the MOST VIOLENT, MOST DESTRUCTIVE AND MOST DISRUPTIVE protests that have occurred the last several years, are protests arranged, coordinated and run by LEFT-WING advocates, and a hard line approach to these protestors would affect her voter base? Jacinta Allen says she is outraged at the politicisation of the protest issue, yet the only politicisation we are witnessing is the two-tier policing of protestors who are aligned to the Government of the day.
