Germany is reeling under the weight of woke idealism, a misguided crusade that has prioritised ideological purity over the welfare of its citizens. The influx of asylum seekers, many of whom arrive without proper vetting, has stretched public services to their limits, increased crime rates, and eroded public trust in government institutions.

Angela Merkel’s open-door policies were heralded as compassionate, yet they have proven to be catastrophic for ordinary Germans, who are left to bear the brunt of the economic and social consequences.

The left-wing elite, so obsessed with virtue-signalling, refuse to acknowledge the problems their policies have caused, labelling anyone who raises legitimate concerns as xenophobic or extremist. The rise of the AfD is not a symptom of hate but a desperate plea for common sense, as even Elon Musk has recognised, much to the outrage of Germany’s establishment.

While Germany faces energy crises exacerbated by the shutting down of its nuclear power plants, left-wing activists pat themselves on the back for their supposed environmental virtue. Nuclear energy, a clean and reliable source of power, has been demonised by ideologues who would rather see Germany dependent on coal or Russian gas than admit their errors.

The result has been skyrocketing energy costs and increased pollution, all while Germans shiver in the winter cold. This is not progress, it is lunacy. The Greens and their allies, blinded by their utopian visions, have created a dystopia where ideology trumps pragmatism.

The AfD, despite being vilified, stands as one of the few voices willing to challenge this insanity and advocate for policies that prioritise German interests over globalist fantasies. Perhaps most insidiously, Germany has allowed woke authoritarianism to creep into its laws, silencing free speech under the guise of combating hate. When a man is arrested for pointing out that a politician is fat, it is clear that the country has lost the plot.

Such Orwellian overreach is not the hallmark of a free society but of a regime terrified of dissent. Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s hollow platitudes about freedom of speech ring empty when legitimate concerns are dismissed as hate or extremism.

It is no wonder that @elonmusk has endorsed the AfD, a party unafraid to call out this absurdity and defend the fundamental right to free expression. The left-wing activists and their political enablers who have dragged Germany into this quagmire deserve not respect but ridicule, for they are the architects of their nation’s decline. It is time for Germany to wake up, reject this woke madness, and reclaim its future.
