Tel Aviv, Jul 15: In a significant counter-terrorism operation, the Israel Defence Forces (IDF) and the
Israel Security Agency (Shin Bet) have confirmed the elimination of seven senior Hamas terrorists in an airstrike carried out last week in Gaza. Notably, all seven had been previously released as part of the controversial 2011 Gilad Shalit prisoner exchange deal.
Tel Aviv [Israel], July 18 (ANI/TPS): The IDF (Israel Defense Forces) attacked and killed on July 10, 2025 the terrorist Iyad Netzer, who served as deputy commander of the Jabalia Battalion in the Hamas terrorist organization in Gaza.

The IDF and Shin Bet have announced the killing of a senior Hamas figure involved in the October 7 attacks, along with other operatives, in a recent airstrike in Gaza.
Iyad Nasser, identified as the deputy commander of Hamas’ Jabalia Battalion, was eliminated on July 10 in a targeted strike carried out by the IDF’s 282nd Artillery Regiment. Nasser had participated in the October 7 invasion into Israel and, despite being wounded earlier in the conflict, later resumed his leadership role in northern Gaza.
According to the IDF, Nasser was actively involved in orchestrating attacks against Israeli forces, including operations in recent weeks.
The airstrike also killed two additional Hamas terrorists linked to the October 7 assault: Hassan Mahmoud Muhammad Mar’i, commander of Jabalia’s central company, and Muhammad Zaki Shamadeh Hamad, deputy commander in Hamas’ Beit Hanoun Battalion.
The terrorist raided Israel in the murderous massacre on October 7, was wounded during the war and then returned to his post in the Jabalia Battalion, said the IDF. Throughout the war, he took part in terrorist activities against IDF forces operating in the area, including in recent weeks when he directed various terrorist attacks against the IDF’s 162nd “Steel” Division’s forces operating in the area.
Along with Netzer, two other terrorists who invaded the country and took part in the massacre on October 7 were eliminated:
Hassan Mahmoud Muhammad Marri – Commander of the Central Jabalia Company in the Hamas terrorist organization.
Muhammad Zaki Shamada Hamad – Deputy Company Commander in the Beit Hanoun Battalion of the Hamas terrorist organization. (ANI/TPS)
