A heated Senate Estimates hearing this week has sparked a national debate over “Islamophobia”, political responsibility and community cohesion.

One Nation senator Malcolm Roberts challenged Australia’s Special Envoy for Combatting Islamophobia, Aftab Malik, questioning why his recent report did not mention sharia law. Roberts claimed sharia would “replace Australian law” if allowed in the country.

Australian taxpayers should not have to finance Islamic agitprop.

Malik said the exchange itself highlighted the need for his role, explaining that misconceptions about Islam and sharia were driving discrimination, marginalisation and fear.

There are no “misconceptions”. Mohammedans are not victims.

He told the committee that political rhetoric can either ease tensions or inflame them:
“Once it becomes sweeping generalisation or demonisation, it normalises prejudice.”
Greens senator David Shoebridge asked whether false political claims — such as suggesting sharia is close to being imposed — contribute to Islamophobia.
Malik agreed.

All “hate-speech” laws are already part of sharia. Establishing mosques, a two-tier justice system & the elevation of Mohammedans to parliament is part of sharia.

The clash escalated when Labor senator Murray Watt accused Roberts of promoting Islamophobic ideas and associating with extremist groups.

Murray Watts is a Stalinist blockhead who promotes every destructive agenda as if his life depended on it.

Roberts rejected the accusation, saying his comments were “pro-Australia”.

The hearing also followed controversy over One Nation leader Pauline Hanson’s decision to enter the Senate in a burqa last week while arguing for a ban on Islamic face coverings — a move widely condemned by multicultural advocates. Australia’s race discrimination commissioner warned the act risked increasing hostility towards Muslim women.

If Pauline Hanson cannot wear a burqa in parliament, then no Mohammedan should be allowed to wear it in public.
Religiously mandated lying (taqiyya) is important to spread Islam.
It is central to the islamic belief system to remove all obstacles to sharia by all and any means. Mohammedans are compelled to lie about it to “defend the faith”. (Taqiyya)

Muslim MP slams Mark Latham for calling his Sydney suburb an ‘ethnic enclave’
Mark Latham’s comments describing the Sydney suburb of Lakemba as an “ethnic enclave” haven’t gone down well with the area’s sitting MP Jihad Dib.
The former federal Labor leader told Sky News on Monday: “The whole theory of multiculturalism established by Whitlam and Fraser in the 1970s was to have a blended integrated society. It was not envisaged you would have a place like Lakemba in Western Sydney, which is 65 per cent Islamic.”
“It was not envisaged that you would have ethnic enclaves. I would like to see a parliamentary inquiry into that and some changes to public housing policy to help disperse people across communities,” Mr Latham said, in a week where he began heavy campaigning ahead of the NSW election on March 23.
Labor MP Jihad Dib, who was the first Muslim MP to represent the Lakemba seat, hit back at Mr Latham and the One Nation party, saying they “intended to break down the community”.
