Iranian media is reporting loud explosions in central and western Tehran as well as in Isfahan.

Loud explosions were reported by Iranian state-affiliated media and eyewitnesses across Tehran and Isfahan on March 24–25, 2026, as part of continued strikes targeting military, intelligence, and industrial sites. Blasts struck central and western Tehran, including near the Supreme Leader’s office and Parchin, while Isfahan and other cities experienced multiple, severe explosions.

New York Times: ‘American Muslims are not attempting to impose Shariah principles on others’

The New York Times’ warning about “Islamophobia” relies on its readers’ ignorance of facts that it likely didn’t report about, or report about fully and accurately. The Times is all about constructing a narrative to support leftist political causes, not reporting the news. So it downplays and misrepresents jihad attacks, ignores Muslim declarations of imminent takeover, remains willfully ignorant about the Sharia imperative to conquer and subjugate non-Muslims, and then presents concern about Islam and Sharia as irrational racism, bigotry and “Islamophobia.” Well, sure, that’s what it is, once you’ve eliminated all the facts.

In late February, a speaker told a large Muslim crowd in New York City: “Oh, don’t scare them, brothers! Relax! They’re over here on purpose to be like, ‘Oh my God!’ Who’s seen those videos where they’re like, ‘Oh my God, the Muslims are taking over New York City!’ Seen those? You seen those? Let them know that we are taking over New York City! Takbir!” And the crowd responds with an enthusiastic “Allahu akbar.”

The Muslim Brotherhood, meanwhile, has drastically increased its influence and activities in the United States over the past two decades and is dedicated in its own words, according to a captured internal document, to “eliminating and destroying Western civilization from within, and sabotaging its miserable house, so that it falls, and Allah’s religion reigns supreme over other religions.”

Mustafa Akyol, the practiced deceiver the Times quotes below, never refers to such facts. He couldn’t possibly equate Sharia with Jewish and Christian religious law, and consign all suspicion about it to bigotry, while discussing Muslims boasting about taking over and actively plotting to do so.

And there is a great deal of this sort of thing. In Aug. 2024, Nihad Awad, the executive director of the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), detailed a strategy for gaining political power: “If we commit to do this, four years from now, the Muslim community will have 4,000 new journalists, we will have 4,000 filmmakers, 4,000 lawyers, 4,000 students of political science, 4,000 students of history. The next year, we will have another 4,000. Fifteen years from now, the Muslim community will have 50,000, an army of these people. They will design our image, they will protect the truth and the news, most likely many of these people will run for public office and they will become lawmakers…We can have, in ten years, at least 40-50 members of Congress, in the U.S. Congress.”

Also, back in Dec. 2025, a young Somali Muslim in the U.S. made a video. Holding a large photo of Trump, the young man said, “My biggest fear in life is that this man may never witness our full takeover. Yes, he may never wi— witness that. He already witnessed our partial takeover, our little success, in America…. So. He’s old and sick, I know, he may not witness our full takeover. But I promise you that his sons will witness.”

The Times never reported any of that, and has nothing to say about it. It would interfere with the narrative.

Trump’s Hypocrisy on Religious Freedom,” New York Times Editorial Board, March 19, 2026:

…Irrational fear of Shariah — a set of principles, based on the Quran, that guide life for Muslims, much as biblical precepts guide Christians and Jews — is another way in which anti-Muslim hate is translating into policy. Gov. Greg Abbott of Texas recently signed a law that would prevent what he called “Shariah compounds,” supposedly communities that are open only to Muslims and that subject their residents to religious law. In the House, Representative Chip Roy of Texas has introduced a bill called the Preserving a Shariah-Free America Act, while Senator John Cornyn of Texas has cosponsored another, the Defeat Shariah Law in America Act. Mr. Fine, for his part, has introduced a Protecting Puppies From Shariah Act.

These efforts are based on ludicrously false pretenses. Extreme versions of Shariah are a problem in some countries, including Afghanistan and Iran, but they are not a threat in the United States. American Muslims are not attempting to impose Shariah principles on others. As Mustafa Akyol of the Cato Institute has noted, the recent proposals mimic anti-Catholic and anti-Mormon laws enacted in previous centuries. They are based on lies and are intended to scapegoat.

The millions of Americans who practice Islam are just as American as anyone else. They pay taxes, own businesses and serve in the armed forces. Many have been here for generations. Others upended their lives to move here, in some cases because of this country’s constitutional protection of religious freedom.

The surge of anti-Muslim hate has caused many of them to feel threatened in their own country. Some feel anxious about entering a mosque or wearing obvious signs of their faith. In Texas and other places where political leaders have spread hate, the fears can be acute. “We left our roots, our home, our generational stories, to move into a country where we thought these kinds of things would not happen,” Mona Kafeel, who runs Peace in the Home Family Services, a social services organization in Plano, Texas, told us. Now, she said, “That fear is coming back to many of us.”…
