Tehran fires back as Iran, Lebanon attacked; France downs drones over UAE

Iran has expanded its retaliation across the Middle East, striking embassies, ports, military installations, and threatening global energy routes. Meanwhile, Lebanon’s health ministry said Israeli strikes on two towns south of Beirut killed six people and wounded eight.

The military operation against Iran entered its fourth day on Tuesday. Strikes against targets inside Iran and against Hezbollah targets continued, while Iran has launched limited but disparate attacks throughout the Gulf. President Trump has taken aim at European allies, including Britain and Spain, while French President Macron has claimed that the strikes by the U.S. and Israel against Iran are “outside international law”.

  • US and Israel’s bombardment of Iran and Lebanon continues, with a strike on a hotel near Beirut and the building of the Assembly of Experts in Qom as the death toll surpasses 800 in both countries.
  • Tehran continues retaliatory attacks on Israel and US targets in the Middle East for a fourth night, with strikes reported on Washington’s consulate in Dubai and a port in the city of Fujairah in the United Arab Emirates.

Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) is threatening to “burn” any oil tanker that attempts to sail through the Strait of Hormuz and, according to a warning from the Windward AI maritime research firm, the Iranians are conducting “indiscriminate” attacks on civilian ships in the Gulf of Oman and Persian Gulf.
