Spain Gave $2bn to Illegal Migrants in 2025, But Spent Just $70m on Border Protection
The Spanish government spent over €1.8 billion of taxpayers’ money last year attending to the needs of illegal migrants in the country, while spending only a tiny fraction of that, €60 million, funding efforts to stop them from arriving in the first place.
Of the € 1.8 billion Out of that €60 million, the Spanish Interior Ministry barely spent €20 million last year to reinforce border security. Of the € 1.8 billion spent to support migrants once they have arrived in Spain, the costs are widely spread across the state.
Stop, for god’s sake stop, importing trouble and Muslim immigrants, as a whole, necessarily mean trouble, in all lands where the political and legal institutions, and social arrangements, are flatly contradicted by the Shari’a. Muslims are obligated to change or tear down those institutions, in order to remove all “obstacles to Islam.” It is not special or individual malice that prompts that attitude. That is their duty, a central duty. Why not come to fully and soberly understand that duty, and out of a minimal sense of self-preservation, cease to import those into our lands (America, Canada, Great Britain, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, Belgium, Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Australia, and every other place that has so generously admitted, under a twisted definitiion of “refugees,” people who do not, and can not, wish our ways or institutions or constitutions well.
In his recent rhetoric, the Prime Minster of Spain- Pedro Sanchez is very concentrated on Israel.
Why?
After all, until not very long ago he maintained the regular ties with Israel in agriculture, technology and cybersecurity and used rhetoric similar to the one coming out of most of the European countries.📚
Of course everything has numerous aspects to take in count, but-
To put it simply:
• Spain has a 350-seat parliament.
• In July 2023 the conservative party (PP) opposing to Sanchez won the most seats-137, but couldn’t form a coalition.
• To be able to pass any law or budget, one needs a 176-seat majority.
• Sanchez’s party ״PSOE”, holds 121.
To get the other 55, he must rely on:
➡️ 26 seats by “Sumar” – a radical left platform containing the Spanish Communist Party.
➡️ And others filled by regional separatists (!) like ERC and Junts (Catalonia) and EH Bildu (Basque).
Even before we address the “Israeli aspect”- just to grasp the meaning of the last paragraph:
These are parties who want to take Spain apart.
For context- imagine the Scottish National Party deciding whether to pass the budget voted on the Downing Street.
So what common ground do Socialists, Communists and Separatists traditionally have?
That’s right- Israel.
➡️ “Sumar”- have publicly demanded an arms embargo and the suspension of EU-Israel trade agreements as a price for their continued cooperation.
➡️ ERC- Have historically conditioned their support for the national budget on Sanchez’s alignment with pro-Palestinian diplomacy.
➡️ “Bildu” – view the Palestinian cause as a mirror if their own “national liberation” goals.
➡️ “Junts”- are less focused on the Palestinian cause than the others. They just use international high profile cases to pressure Sanchez into showing a proper progressive record.
➡️ “Podemos”- while they are not part of the coalition, Sanchez still needs their votes sometimes.
And they literally tie their vote to Sanchez taking steps against Israel:
“If the government wants the support of Podemos, it has to move from words to facts. We are asking for a total arms embargo and a break in diplomatic relations with Israel”.

All these parties remind me of the “America first” folks, who are many times just “Israel last”.
And all of them got Sanchez walking on eggshells to stay in power.
