At a Black Lives Matter demonstration in London, a self-described mixed-race member of the LGBT community said that the concept of intersectionality means that there is “one common enemy: the white man” and therefore “we need to get rid of them”.

The University of Cambridge has been accused of being a “bit racist” after it was revealed that it had initially blocked working-class white students from a post-graduate programme designed for students from underrepresented groups.

A government spending watchdog has said that only black, female, or impoverished candidates will be considered for an upcoming taxpayer-funded paid internship, sparking accusations of discrimination against middle-class white males.

An NAO spokesman said: “Our long-running diversity internship schemes offer valuable work experience in the audit sector.

“The internship opens doors to people who are under-represented in the sector including anyone from less affluent backgrounds.”
