Meritocratie Baaaaad!

“Professor Arday was a victim of a brutal, racist witch hunt,” claims Amnesia.

It depicts the serial fabulist as “Black autistic man whose journey expanded our imaginations and understanding of what we believed possible in academia”.

That last part is certainly true.

Here’s the incredible closing sentence.

“The media must be held accountable for failing to honour these boundaries. Professor Arday’s family must not be subjected to further intrusion, speculation or online abuse. The most meaningful tribute we can offer is not merely remembrance but a commitment to tangible, real-world change: building systems and enforcing laws to ensure that Black, disabled, neurodivergent and those easily excluded can live, work, contribute and flourish without being forced to bear the costs of institutional failures and public cruelty.”

“Laws to ensure that black” public figures can’t be covered by the media or have their scandals reported on. Can white conservative public figures have their scandals reported on? Obviously. This is a two-tier system in which the goal is to censor the opposition and suppress any exposure of the leftist ruling class.

“Laws to ensure that black” public figures can’t be covered by the media

Amnesty International Amnesia Intentional was spawned over a hoax in which people were supposedly locked up over their speech. The actual event was based on a newspaper article, it had never actually happened, but that didn’t stop Amnesty International from raising and spending millions of dollars, and preaching to everyone about the importance of ‘human rights’ for succeeding generations.

(Also, according to its founder, secretly operating as a tool of British intelligence services, but that’s a conversation for another time.)

Much like the ACLU and other ‘human rights groups’, Amnesty became increasingly for state crackdowns on speech and civil rights. Now it has come full circle in endorsing ‘Arday’s Law’.

To recap, Jason Arday was a DEI professor at Cambridge whose entire bio turned out to have been made up… quite obviously so because it considered of bizarre claims about raising fortunes, winning marathons and being unable to speak until he was 18 years old.

If you think I’m exaggerating, here are some of the headlines.

In the wake of accused plagiarist and serial fabulist Jason Arday’s death, an influential band of activists within Great Britain’s largest academic union is demanding action—not to change the policies at Cambridge that led the school to hire and defend Arday, but to “shield other black academics from scrutiny from what they view as a racist, right-wing conspiracy,” the investigative journalist Ben Ryan writes for the Free Beacon.
An activist caucus within the University and College Union held a virtual organizing meeting Tuesday night to discuss Arday’s death. “The Free Beacon obtained a recording of the raw and emotional gathering of several dozen members, during which the angry scholars repeatedly denounced the attacks on Arday as the product of a racist, right-wing mob seeking to drive blacks out of the academy,” Ryan writes.

“The central purposes of the meeting were to draft a public statement on the Arday tragedy and develop a toolkit to help the union respond if black academics are targeted with attacks on their credibility.”

Leading academics like David Sanders of Purdue University agreed that Arday’s thesis was “extensively plagiarized,” while a damning investigation in The Times of London found that Arday stole another academic’s research, manipulated his own methodology, and recycled his own quotes from interview subjects.

But the UCU members who attended Tuesday’s meeting downplayed Arday’s misdeeds, insisting that “lifting text verbatim from another scholar’s work and using it without attribution did not itself constitute plagiarism.
They said that the stealing of someone else’s ideas was required to merit such a charge—a narrow definition contradicted by their own universities.”
The meeting’s organizer, University College London principal research fellow Sean Wallis, went so far as to suggest that Galileo was a plagiarist by today’s standards because he had his students copy his texts to teach them how to craft scientific prose. “And actually, that’s been a long-standing way of teaching for quite a long time,” Wallis said. “So it’s not surprising that people will do more textual overlap than they realize.”
“A draft statement from the group, which the Free Beacon obtained, asserted that both liberal and right-wing media outlets were culpable of amplifying the ‘agenda of far-right ideologues’ who were ‘openly boasting’ their quest to ‘create a “meritocracy,”’” writes Ryan. “The effort comes amid widespread outrage among liberals at what they claim was the media’s harassing coverage of Arday and at the critics of universities’ diversity practices.”

 

If you want to understand why a heavily subsidised Belgian university can kick @nathancofnas out without a legal reason and without it creating even the smallest political fuzz, understand that the regime media has repeated endlessly that Cofnas is “a pseudoscientist” and the proven (!!!) plagiarism of Arday is nothing but “allegations” and “a far-right witch hunt”.

Within this climate, they can do whatever they want, and even if Cofnas fights this in court and ‘wins’, they will launch a legal battle of attrition that he cannot win.

How do I know? Because they did the same to me.

Which is why, if this state censorship law passes, and there’s a scandal involving Tory leader Kemi Badenoch, who is a black woman, those same laws suddenly won’t apply because it’s not really about being black, it’s about state censorship of anything negative about the ruling class.

And Amnesty International is leading the parade to censor the opposition.
