British Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer is set up for showdown with the United States as he threatens to ban X, formerly known as Twitter, over a flood of AI-generated sexualized images of women and children, prompting warnings of Britain being hit with anti-censorship sanctions from Washington.

The ability of X-bundled AI chat bot Grok to generate images on command, which has been used as a “nudify” tool in recent weeks to manipulate images of public figures, politicians, private individuals and even children, has triggered anger in the British government. Action up to and including billion-dollar fines and even outright banning X, with separate moves to ban “nudification” apps that could see those with access to Grok potentially facing jail time even without using it to generate illegal content.

Mexican Prez Mobilizes Diplomats to Stop Trump From Attacking Cartels in Her Country…

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum announced that she ordered her country’s top diplomat to speak with the highest levels of the U.S. government to work on improving binational coordination in order to keep U.S. forces from carrying out direct attacks against cartels inside Mexico.

This appears to be her latest effort to protect the violent drug trafficking cartels that exert political influence at every level of her country.

In Mexico, most of the drug cartels continue to operate with almost complete impunity.

Mexican Narco President Doubles Down on Rejection of Trump’s Arrest of Maduro, Blames U.S. for Her Country’s Cartel Problems

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum doubled down on her country’s rejection of the weekend’s raid that led to the capture of Nicolas Maduro. The Venezuelan dictator is currently facing drug charges in a U.S. federal court. She took the opportunity to blame the U.S. for her country’s cartel problems.

During her morning news conference, Sheinbaum read a prepared statement where she blasted the U.S. operation, claiming it had led to the apprehension of Nicolas Maduro and his wife, and the loss of lives in Venezuela.

“Mexico reaffirms a principle that is not new and historic, rejecting the intervention in other countries’ affairs,” Sheinbaum said.

The case has ignited international concern over Germany’s accelerating war on free expression—and raised eyebrows far beyond Europe.

Last April, David Bendels, editor-in-chief of the national-conservative outlet Deutschland-Kurier, was sentenced by a court in Bamberg to seven months’ probation after posting a doctored image criticizing former Interior Minister Nancy Faeser—a social democrat politician who’s written articles for a publication with links to far-left extremism.

The punishment also included heavy financial penalties and a court-ordered written apology to the former minister herself.
