“Shock Outcome:” Japan Hardline Conservative Takaichi Elected Party Leader, Set To Become First Female Prime Minister

Who is shocked?

Are you shocked? Do you know anybody who is shocked that conservative Japan voted for a conservative leader? Is the leftist media ‘shocked’ that a conservative woman broke the glass ceiling in Japan?

Japan’s ruling Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) elected former Economic Security Minister Sanae Takaichi as its new leader, positioning her to become the country’s next prime minister in a parliamentary confirmation vote expected in mid-October.

Takaichi, 64, a staunch conservative and vocal China hawk, defeated her moderate rival Shinjiro Koizumi by 185 votes to 156 in a runoff at LDP headquarters in Tokyo. The victory makes her Japan’s first female party president and, almost certainly, its first female prime minister since the LDP remains the largest bloc in parliament and opposition parties are too fragmented to mount a united challenge.

Hamas agrees to release all Israeli hostages under Trump Gaza plan

Hamas has agreed to release all Israeli hostages, alive or dead, under the terms of US President Donald Trump’s Gaza proposal, and signalled readiness to immediately enter into mediated negotiations.

In a Telegram statement, Hamas said it was affirming its “readiness to immediately enter into negotiations through the mediators” to discuss the details of the agreement.

Hamas has also agreed to hand over the administration of the Gaza Strip to an independent body of Palestinian technocrats based on “Palestinian national consensus and Arab and Islamic support”.

However, according to Israeli outlet i24 News, senior Hamas official Mousa Abu Marzouk was quoted in Arabic media saying that releasing all the living hostages and bodies within 72 hours was “theoretical and unrealistic“.

The situation in Syria is grim and horrifying, especially for the Druze and Christians, who find themselves under continuous attacks from extremist groups. The brutality and violence against these two communities have reached unimaginable levels, with slaughter, rape, and murder becoming routine in their daily lives. The Druze, who have always been a vibrant community with a rich culture and history, are suffering from severe persecution.

 

Their villages are attacked, families are devastated, and the horrific massacre that is taking place leaves behind a desert of pain and sorrow. Not far from there, Christians are also experiencing similar atrocities. They are persecuted, churches are bombed, and many are forced to flee their homes. The world cannot remain indifferent to what is happening. These crimes against humanity cannot continue without a response. The Druze and Christians in Syria urgently need help and global support. It is time to raise our voices, expose the truth, and stand against violence and persecution. We cannot turn a blind eye to the pain of these communities, who live under constant threat.

 

This is a call to the world: no more silence! It is time to act and uphold the basic human rights of every person, everywhere.
