A 61-year-old English man has been jailed for 18 months in relation to an anti-migration protest-turned-riot in London in which he was filmed shouting, “Who the f*** is Allah?”

Despite not being accused of engaging in any actual violent actions himself, David Spring, of Longfellow Road in Sutton, has been sentenced to 18 months in prison for comments he made during a Downing Street anti-mass migration protest that descended into a riot in the wake of the Southport mass stabbing that left three young girls dead.

Spring, a 61-year-old former train driver, pleaded guilty to “violent disorder” after the court was shown footage of him making “threatening gestures” towards police and chanting, “Who the f*** is Allah?”

“Coming to a town near you.”

It’s great that the federal Department of Industry, Science and Resources is acknowledging pre-colonial Aborigines as “Australia’s first scientists”. The department sets this out in a key document this week on the nation’s science and research priorities.

Australia is a powerhouse of science and research. Our record of discovery and achievement is oversized in comparison to our population. That record began 65,000 years ago with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, Australia’s first scientists. Their unbroken connection to the lands, waters and skies of Australia is a source of deep knowledge unique in the world.

Mariam Dawwas and her family escaped from Gaza and have been granted temporary visas to Australia.

We are witnessing police actions in #Canada and the #UnitedKingdom where merely attending a protest rally, without any violent actions, is grounds for arrest and imprisonment. Is this a glimpse into the future under the Liberal Party?

WHO Declares Monkeypox “Global Health Emergency” – Again

…this is the second time in two years the WHO has declared monkeypox a “Public Health Emergency of International Concern” (and this time with a new name)

Tedros and the psychopaths at the WHO are ramping up the fear of Monkeypox.

The World Health Organization’s director-general said the United Nations health body is considering declaring an emergency for mpox, also known as monkeypox, amid an outbreak in Africa.

“But more funding and support for a comprehensive response are needed,” WHO Director-General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus wrote on the social media platform X on Sunday.

“I am considering convening an International Health Regulations emergency committee to advise me on whether the outbreak of mpox should be declared a public health emergency of international concern.”

By Tuesday, it was unclear when the WHO would declare the emergency or issue any warnings about the virus.

Australians Will Fight For Freedom of Speech

One Nation advocates for the enshrinement of freedom of speech as a fundamental human right in our Constitution.

We are the only Australian political party actively working to integrate freedom of speech into our legal and social framework. Contrary to popular belief, this right is not currently enshrined in the Australian Constitution, though many Australians assume it is.

While the Constitution provides a limited form of freedom of speech concerning political communications, it falls short of the comprehensive protection seen in the American Constitution, where freedom of speech is explicitly guaranteed.

I am calling for a thorough investigation into the necessity and benefits of including such a provision in our Constitution. Such a change would bring an end to governmental overreach and prevent legislation aimed at censoring speech by labelling it as ‘misinformation’ or ‘disinformation’ for political reasons.

The press and media are also guilty of suppressing dissenting views that challenge the government’s narrative, and social media platforms are known for shadow banning or cancelling comments that oppose government positions. This was particularly evident during the #COVID-19 period of mandates and shutdowns, targeting those who questioned government control.

We must resist any government measures that would further restrict freedom of speech and advocate for stronger protections to safeguard this essential right.

BBC: Court Hears Man Arrested for ‘Anti-Establishment Rhetoric’ on Social Media

The new UK government’s dragnet continues to dredge the internet, with the state broadcaster noting the arrest of an internet user for “anti-Muslim and anti-establishment rhetoric” going to court this week.

The BBC states a 40-year-old man was arrested on Sunday in Lincolnshire over the use of social media. Wayne O’Rourke appeared in Magistrate’s court on Tuesday, did not enter a plea, and will appear at Lincoln Crown Court on Friday.
