Muslim man refuses to stand in court due to religion
A MUSLIM man who threatened to “slit the throat” of an intelligence officer has refused to stand for a judge in court.
Milad Bin Ahmad-Shah al-Ahmadzai, 24, yesterday declined to stand as he pleaded guilty to threatening serious harm to a Commonwealth official and using a carriage service to harass and menace.
(His wife tilt wears a full burqa.)
His lawyer Nick Hanna yesterday told the District Court his client’s refusal to stand was due to his religion.

Hidden in the Fassa Valley, at the foothills of the Manzori Mountains in the northern Italian region of Trentino, lies a long-forgotten Turkish village called Moena.
Known also be the name of ‘La Turchia’ by the locals, its residents are known to be the descendents of Ottoman janissaries who settled in the village in 1683 during the conquest campaign for Vienna.
A number of Ottoman janissaries had sought refuge in the village after being injured in battle. After receiving medical treatment, many of them married women from the village and settled their. They then became the pride of Moena when they stirred a revolt against the Duchy of Ausburg for taking high taxes from the villagers.
There is no end to Turkish  insolence and megalomania. Make outrageous demands, never back down and pretend you are deadly insulted when you don’t get your way. (Works like a charm.  Turkish wannabe caliph Erdogan shows them how its done, every day.)
Alev Tugberk, a candidate in the election from Action group, said around 40,000 Turkish Cypriots were prevented from casting their ballots on dubious grounds, and their right to vote was not respected.

The United Nations Convention against Torture has urged the Greek Cypriot administration to pay compensation for the Turkish Cypriots who went missing between 1963-1974 to ease tensions, after releasing a report.
A report released by the United Nations Convention against Torture also called on the Greek Cypriot authorities to allow better visitation rights for Turkish Cypriot prisoners in Greek Cypriot jails.

An Italian navy patrol ship picked up a migrant boat coming from North Africa carrying 435 people including 264 children, most from Syria and Egypt, authorities said on Saturday.
The rescue, which occurred on Friday afternoon, is the latest in a seemingly endless succession as the chronic migrant crisis in the southern Mediterranean has picked up this year.
At least 34,800 people have crossed from North Africa to Europe so far this year, compared to 43,000 in the whole of 2013. That leaves the annual total set to surpass the 60,000 who made the trip in 2011 when the Arab Spring revolutions loosened border controls, according to the U.N. refugee agency UNHCR.
The near daily arrivals of migrant boats has become an issue in the European parliamentary elections due to be wrapped up on Sunday with growing demands in Italy for more help from the European Union to confront the emergency.

As Breitbart London exclusively forecast on Friday, Geert Wilders’ anti-EU, anti-immigration Dutch Freedom Party has taken one more seat in the European Parliament than first exit polls indicated.
Wilders’ party looks on course now to have four MEPs of the Netherlands’ 26 seats. They will be in a group with Marine Le Pen’s Front National, which is topping the polls in France.
