Senior Navy officer loses command over incursions into Indonesian waters during Operation Sovereign Borders

A senior Navy officer has been stripped of his command, another will be sanctioned and others counselled over their involvement in incursions into Indonesian waters last summer while enforcing the Government’s asylum seeker boats policy.

A joint review into the incidents by Customs and Border Protection and the Defence Force, released in part in February, found Australian Navy and Customs ships had entered Indonesian waters six times last December and January.

It found commanders had incorrectly calculated the location of the maritime border during Operation Sovereign Borders (OSB).

The report also recommended that the Chief of Navy consider whether there had been any lapses in professional conduct.

And so here, despite claims from Islamic groups in the West that they have no interest in bringing Sharia to the West, we see a Muslim sheikh in Germany call for Muslims to demand the legalization of polygamy in the West.

The Canadian Muslim scholar Jamal Badawi adds a second answer, in which he makes clear that he also hopes the West will legalize polygamy. Dr. Jamal Badawi was several years ago a leading “moderate Muslim.” His “moderate” credentials were a bit tarnished, however, when he was named an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation Hamas terror funding case. Oh, and also, Jamal Badawi owes me a million dollars: several years ago, he offered a cool mil to anyone who could find a single verse in the Qur’an that condoned “religious war, or jihad.” I found plenty, but oddly enough, the good doctor never has paid up!

This is a plot by Islamic supremacists to take over schools, and it is up to the investigator to win the confidence of Muslim communities? Why isn’t it up to the Muslim communities to win the confidence of the investigator? And Peter Clarke was a counter-terrorism investigator, so his appointment is “unfortunate”? But Britain bans people from entering the country if they dare suggest that the dogma that all Muslims in the country are moderate Western-oriented pluralists, right? So if all the Muslims in the UK are moderate, Western-oriented pluralists, why would they be offended by a counter-terror investigator? Aren’t they against terrorism?

“The selection of Hirsi Ali to receive an honorary degree is a blatant and callous disregard by the administration of not only the Muslim students but of any student who has experienced pure hate speech,” she wrote. “While we are not belittling the severity of the issues that she raises, she uses hate speech against Islam as a means to do this.” Fahmy quoted some of Hirsi Ali’s remarks in an interview with the magazine Reason, in which she called Islam “a destructive, nihilistic cult of death.”
