On Thursday a United Nations interpreter, unaware that her microphone was on, uttered words of truth in reaction to the General Assembly’s adoption of nine politically-motivated resolutions condemning Israel, and zero resolutions on the rest of the world.

Under the mistaken impression that she was speaking only to colleagues, the interpreter uttered the following words into the headphones of every UN delegate, and before a live webcast audience worldwide:

“I think when you have… like a total of ten resolutions on Israel and Palestine, there’s gotta be something, c’est un peu trop, non? [It’s a bit much, no?] I mean I know… There’s other really bad shit happening, but no one says anything about the other stuff.”

In an address entitled Forging an Independent Path for the Community, speaker Wassim Doureihi told the 600-strong audience gathered in a hall in Sydney’s western suburbs that many Muslims had been cowed by the federal government and its agencies into abandoning traditional and activist Islam. “Out of defeatism, they crawl to the doors of the government,” he said.

He added that those imams and other Muslim community leaders who co-operated with the government lent legitimacy to what Mr Doureihi claimed was Canberra’s campaign against Muslims at home and abroad. “They sit at the table with those who are waging war against Muslims,” he said.

Hizb ut-Tahrir is an “extremist” group, while the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) is “moderate,” and yet their rhetoric is much the same. Wassim Doureihi says here that Australia is “at war with Islam. Hamas-linked CAIR’s then-Chairman Parvez Ahmed said in July 2007: “The new perception is that the United States has entered a war with Islam itself.” And Doureihi’s claim that the Australian government is engaged in “entrapment” schemes against Muslims has been echoed many times in the U.S. by spokesmen for Hamas-linked CAIR such as Zahra Billoo and others, who routinely claim that Muslims arrested in jihad terror plots have been entrapped.

Note also that the Daily Telegraph’s headline has the Hizb ut-Tahrir speaker saying that Australia is at war with “radical Islam,” when in reality Doureihi said that Australia, as well as the rest of the world, is at war with Islam itself. The Daily Telegraph apparently thought it necessary to give its readers the false impression that Doureihi was himself drawing the distinction between “extremist” and “moderate” Islam that he explicitly rejected in his remarks. The fact that “extremists” such as Doureihi ground their appeal to peaceful Muslims in the texts and teachings of Islam, and the possibility that there could be teachings of violence and supremacism in the core of Islam itself, the Qur’an and Sunnah, as interpreted by all the mainstream schools of Islamic jurisprudence, are apparently too terrible to contemplate for the Daily Telegraph, or too terrible for its readers to contemplate.

This “President” dismisses American Exceptionalism as readily as he does her Constitution.

“The Obama List” is a series of questions that could be (were they answered) used to review his fitness for office, to see if he has trod upon the public trust. These questions are based on some scrap (or mound) of available information and should be asked of Mr. Obama and pondered by Americans. We don’t need a Holocaust debate.

Generally, Andrew Bolt gets it right. However, when it comes to Turkey and the Armenian genocide, he’s often dead wrong. It seems he has personal sympathies for the Turks, but that should not cloud his perception of the reality on the ground. The reality is that the Turks have eliminated all non-Muslims from the territory they occupy, which  is undeniable. For that reason there is no need to question what happened, and no wakademic, regardless  of credentials, should be given the light of day for trying to whitewash the koranic command that calls to “wipe the unbelievers out to the last…”

Maajid Nawaz is Tommy Robinson’s new partner in the rather odious Quillam Foundation:

Nawaz never renounced the shahada, never denounced Muhammad, jihad or the subjugation of non-Muslims. He may be confused, but he is still a Muslim. Nawaz offers up the same old claptrap about Islam being “hijacked” and would have you believe there is another Islam,  one that differs  from the Islam the in Koran, sira and hadith. There isn’t. Maajid Nawaz has been pushed into action following an admission by one of Australia’s most respected Muslim leaders Imam Afroz Ali. Two months ago Mr Ali made an admission at a closed forum of 25 of Australia’s leading Imams on the radicalisation of Islam.

Laughable. Afroz Ali promotes FGM and sharia finance. To rely on him to tell us who the ‘radicals’ are is patently absurd.

Mr Ali has been recorded saying that over the course of seven years he had identified 240 ‘radicals Islamists’ within his community centre, 120 of whom continue to have extremist views and are seen to potentially be on a path to “extreme acts”.

Mr Nawaz, who says he understands extreme Islamist groups because he was once a true believer, thinks Mr Ali’s admission is a serious concern.

A RIOTER who made headlines for refusing to stand for a magistrate says that he “forgives” police. (source)

Mohammed Issai Issaka was yesterday sentenced to 12 months in jail with a non-parole period of six months after being found guilty on a charge of rioting in Hyde Park last September.

He said he forgives police and was released on bail after lodging an appeal.

A RIOTER who made headlines for refusing to stand for a magistrate says that he “forgives” police.
“Holy Riots”

Mr Issaka has consistently insisted he did nothing wrong on the day of the riots and pleaded not guilty – a fact that Magistrate Jacqueline Milledge yesterday said was “disappointing”.

Ms Milledge – for whom Issaka refused to stand during a previous appearance but later tearfully apologised – noted that while Issaka was a man of “otherwise impeccable character” his “lack of contrition” for his actions gave her concern.

“I can’t look at you as someone who has learnt from this event and would not revisit it,” Ms Milledge said.

“You said you didn’t do these things … (yet) we have hours of vision of you being angry and being in the face of the police officers.

“It was civil disobedience at its worst.”

Ms Milledge said Issaka was “frontline” throughout the riots as an inflaming presence – even causing distress to other peaceful protesters.

“They were trying to bring about calm and you weren’t to be calmed,” she said. “You weren’t just someone who was there to demonstrate.”

His appeal will be mentioned in Downing Centre District Court on January 15.
