The phenomenon of the Arab islamochristian, who tries to fit in, tries to accommodate himself to the always-menacing Muslim sea, is by now well understood by those capable of thought. It’s less commonly found among those indigenous communities of Christians in Arab lands, not Arabs but users of the Arabic language who in some cases have been so overwhelmed by constant Arab propaganda as to have forgotten that they are not Arabs.  who still feel both numerous enough, and threatened enough without hope of winning over Muslims — the Maronites in Lebanon, the Copts in Egypt — whose existene predates the arrival of Islam, and who are well aware that among the Muslims who menace them are many whose ancestors were themselves Maronites or Copts, who felt forced — or were forced — long ago to convert to Islam.

The most “Islamic” of the Islamochristians, the ones who have tried to outdo — in the usual plus-royaliste-que-le-roi fashion — are the “Palestinian” Christians, who have tried to fit in by being even more viciously anti-Israel than the Muslims. Outstanding examples include George Habash of the PFLP, and such propagandists as Naim Ateek and Hanan Ashrawi, who are now so far out in the “pro-Palestinian” limb, so far out in promoting the Jihad, that they cannot possibly, not for one minute, come to even the lip-service aid of the Christians in the Middle East who are suffering from Muslims being Muslims. It’s amusing to watch

And then there is the gun-running (oh, and by the way, icon-stealing and re-selling to London icon galleries on New Brook Street, through Greek intermediaries) Archbishop Kapudj, or Cappucci.

As news of the sex jihad continues to proliferate in Mideast media, and as the West continues to bury its head in the sand—here for example is Der Spiegel’s attempt to portray as “false” the “tales of rebels engaging in ‘sex jihad’ and massacring Christians”—it is instructive to note that even the practice of sex jihad has specific doctrinal validation in Islam (which should not be surprising, considering that so too do things like “adult breastfeeding”).

Twice this month, ships full of African migrants trying to reach Europe have sunk, and several hundred have died, near the Italian island of Lampedusa. According to the New York Times, that means Europe needs to let in more migrants, because somehow Europeans have a responsibility to deal with the reckless behavior of non-Europeans:

After numerous heated debates over whether Muslims are imposing their culture upon Denmark, poll shows most think too many concessions are made for the minority.

The public debates over banned Christmas trees, halal meat at schools and cashiers wearing headscarves appear to have made the Danish population more wary about giving their Muslim neighbours cultural concessions.

According to a new survey by market researcher TNS Gallup, carried out for Berlingske newspaper, every third non-Muslim Dane is under the impression that Denmark is too tolerant of its Muslim minority population.

Jens Peter Frølund Thomsen, a political science professor at Aarhus University, said that the most surprising thing about the survey was how little the Danish mentality has shifted, even though the Muslim immigrants arrived years ago.

“The demands of assimilation weigh heavily on the Danish public,” Thomsen told Berlingske. “We have a very ethnocentric culture and when people speak of integration in Denmark, they’re really talking about assimilation.”
